Looking back, if they knew they were going to try Wilford at TE, I think it would have made more sense to pick up a G like Duke Robinson in the 5th. He seemed like a great value pick there and I felt that with both of our starting Gs coming off of injuries, that was a greater area of need. Now I'm a big proponent of of taking the BPA available and I can't say I know much about Nalbone so I won't/didn't complain much about the pick but Robinson seemed like a very good prospect at an area of need.
That being said, you never saw the kid play, I have. This kid will surprise you. People can complain about his look (), but the kid is a player.
Obviously they see talent/potential in him, but im guessing he's going to be on special teams for a few years considering we have pretty good tight ends?
I am closing this thread due to continuous off topic posting. I will delete the off topic posts, and pass out infractions to those who have wrecked the thread from the very start with off topic garbage.
I have deleted 15 off topic posts. There will be at least one infraction that may lead to a banning. The rest of you should take notice. This was disrespectful to the thread starter, and the site. We will not have our Miami Dolphins forum becoming a zoo like some other places we have seen. Make at least a passing attempt to address the topic when you post, having more off topic posts than worthy ones after nearly 30 posts will not fly.
Im pretty sure they can stick him at NT and he will still do better at that, than he did being a receiver last year.
Aren't Martin's and Fasano's contracts up at the end of the year? Nalbone is probably a move for the future. They'll probably use Martin and Fasano for the most part. Give Nalbone a little playing time and then let Martin go at the end of of the season.
This signing kinda speaks in that direction for sure. Martin played very well for us last year and fasano too. It looks like we have lots of quality TE's but not just one superstar. I think Nalbone will get his chance to prove he will step in when Martin leaves, if he can do that we should be set at TE for several years, especially if we start using two TE sets more frequently. Which would not suprise me for this year because of the success our TE's had last year with Chad P.
