Chad Pennington [67] Jake Long [132] Ronnie Brown [119] Joey Porter [10]------- Tony Sparano [122]++++++
Let's get this down to the final four. Chad Pennington [67] Jake Long [134] + Ronnie Brown [120] Joey Porter [8] - Tony Sparano [121]
Chad Pennington [66] ------ Jake Long [134] Ronnie Brown [120] Joey Porter [9] ++++++ he should be in the last 4 Tony Sparano [121]
Chad Pennington [67] + Can't wait for "Old Noodle Arm" to prove all the "haters" wrong again this year. Jake Long [134] Ronnie Brown [119] - Can Ronnie start the season out right? Or will we get a couple "mulligan" games to start the season again? Joey Porter [9] Tony Sparano [121]
Chad Pennington [66] Jake Long [134] Ronnie Brown [120] Joey Porter [8]------ Tony Sparano [122]++++++
Chad Pennington [65]------ Jake Long [134] Ronnie Brown [121] ++++ Joey Porter [8][ Tony Sparano [122]
Chad Pennington [65] Jake Long [134] Ronnie Brown [121] Joey Porter [7] --- You're the next contestant going down! Tony Sparano [123] +++ Yes, coach. We'll vote for you.
Chad Pennington [65] Jake Long [134] Ronnie Brown [122]+ Joey Porter [6]- screw it...its gonna happen anyways. Tony Sparano [123]
Chad Pennington [65] Jake Long [133] --He's a great guy and player but i'm looking for more to win this Ronnie Brown [122] Joey Porter [6] Tony Sparano [124] ++ Ok many people believe a player should win this. I only believe a coach should have ample opportunity to compete. Coach Sparano brought these men together! He created the beginning of a elite fighting unit ready to battle in the trenches on every down. EACH OF THESE PLAYERS DESERVE TO WIN IN THERE OWN RIGHT, BUT SPARANO BROUGHT EACH OF THESE INDIVIDUAL GUYS TOGETHER TO BE THE MIAMI DOLPHINS A HECK OF A TEAM
Chad Pennington [66] + His vote vount is way too low for how much he helped the team. Jake Long [133] Ronnie Brown [122] Joey Porter [5] - Once Porter is gone, Brown is next... Tony Sparano [124]
Chad Pennington [65] - His vote count is way to high. He had his best year ever with ratings clearly above his true talent level so expect that to correct, has a noodle arm that limits the offense, Will always be a Jet first and foremost, won't even finish this year starting QB because is due for his USUAL off year and injury rash. If Henne is as talented as they think he is Pennington will be a footnote in Dolphins history having started 2 yrs Max. No way he should be voted ahead of any other player on this list besides Porter. Jake Long [133] Ronnie Brown [123] + Joey Porter [5] Tony Sparano [124]
I agree Chad was a huge asset to this team last yr, while I love his attitude and profesionalism(sp), he came here for a reason and that was to bring knowledge to the rookies. Now lets hope he lights it up this yr and his offseason work helps him get the ball down field. I have no problem with Chad as our future for a few yrs if he can produce.
And yet you give your point to a person who had less than 1,000 yards last season. Brown ONLY had 3 games where he rushed over 100 yards!! 3 GAMES, thats pathetic. He also had 11 games where he rushed for LESS THAN 60 YARDS! The most yards he has ever had in a season throughout his career was only 1,008 yards. He has only played 1 full year in his career. He also came to camp looking fat. Don't get me wrong, I love Brown but he has way too many votes in my opinion. Your whole take on Pennington sounds like what the Jet fans were saying last year: "He had his best year ever with ratings clearly above his true talent level so expect that to correct," Wrong. In 2002, with the Jets he posted a higher QB rating and threw 3 more touchdowns and 1 less INT than last year. "has a noodle arm that limits the offense," He makes up for that with his amazing accuracy and excellent awareness. He also is an amazing leader who always has the pulse of the team in his mind. All he wants to do is win. "Will always be a Jet first and foremost," Huh???? What? He beat the Jets to get us into the Playoffs. "won't even finish this year starting QB because is due for his USUAL off year and injury rash." Just like last year, right?? If Henne is as talented as they think he is Pennington will be a footnote in Dolphins history having started 2 yrs Max. This issue is about Pennington not Henne, as Henne was already voted off. No way he should be voted ahead of any other player on this list besides Porter. Based on everything I said and how un-impressive Brown's stats have been; he should be one of the highest, if not the highest overall vote count. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePTQaqrEdiw&feature=related"]YouTube - miami dolphins -Chad Pennington[/ame][/QUOTE] I really loved me some Chad last yr guys a gamer! Parcels/Sparano reeled in a easy trophy fish on that deal! Rock On
Chad Pennington [67] + "He's not the strongest, or the fastest. He simply makes plays. And leads men." Jake Long [132] Ronnie Brown [123] - UCF Finatic raises a great point. Too many games under 100 yards. Consistency issues. Joey Porter [5] Tony Sparano [124]
Chad Pennington [67] Jake Long [132] Ronnie Brown [123] Joey Porter [4] -----Sorry, but..... Tony Sparano [125]+++++ He's the architect of this rebuilding.
but he still limits our offense... he has a weak arm, its just the way it is, why do people take such offense to that? if you could have Chad Pennington with Jamarcus Russell's arm, wouldn't that make him a better QB? wouldn't that open up a whole new dimension to our offense? of course it would, we could throw 15 yard outs, we can attack the deep sideline routes... theres just more options... so why is it so blasphemous to say, without that strong arm, we are more limited in what we can do? and with Henne the POTENTIAL to be a better offense is there... does that mean it will be? of course not, but it COULD be, the potential is there to do more with an offense when you have a QB who can make all of the throws... i dont know why people cant understand that, and act like most of the people who see it this way are hating on Chad... im very grateful for what Chad has done for us, and hes a great player... but that does not mean hes not limited in what he can do on the football field... and those personal limits, also limit our entire offense
Now this has been hashed out over and over, he was less then a yr recovered from ACL surgery, i'll give him a pass on production and a A+++ on Sparano's utilization of him and keeping reps downs to facilitate complete recovery. ( CAN YA TELL IM A SPARANO GUY LOL)
Chad Pennington [66] ------ offense just cant reach full potential with him Jake Long [132] Ronnie Brown [124] ++++++ give him the ball Joey Porter [4] Tony Sparano [125]
While I believe Chad was a perfect fit at the best time, i also agree again with your assessment of his arm, but just because a player can't throw the rock 60 yrd's means nothing. I believe each player has a skill set and coachs (AKA Sparano) put there players in a position to excel.
Chad Pennington [66] Jake Long [131] ------- Ronnie Brown [124] Joey Porter [4] Tony Sparano [126] ++++++
no one is saying they cant be put in a position in excel, no one is saying other wise... all that I am saying is: with that arm strength, our offense is limited in what it can do thats it... so yes he can still excel, yes we can still win, yes he is still a great QB... BUT if he had a stronger arm, we could do MORE in our offense, there are MORE positions he can excel in, there is MORE a defense has to worry about... Henne has the arm to do those things, does he have the head, and other things Penny has to be a great QB? who knows... but we know hes not physically limited, and the max potential of our offense with Henne, is greater than the max potential with Penny... its who he is, nothing against the guy, but he will never lead a top 5 passing attack, he never will throw for over 30 tds, its just something he wont do, his limitations will prevent that from ever happening... does that mean he sucks? of course not... but i dont know why its so hard for some fans to accept the fact that he limits what we can do with our offense... HE knows it, our coaches know it, and its not the worst thing in the world, like you said we find other ways to be successful... but its still a limitation
Chad Pennington [67]+++ Jake Long [130] Ronnie Brown [125] Joey Porter [3]--- Tony Sparano [126] fixed from E's vote, but the count is still off by one I think...
Think I Got it understand it and agree! I with ya 100% but we have to take into acct what we have at the moment there's no garuntees(sp lol) Henne will have the arm, accuracy, poise etcc we need ( I hope he does) so i just question the idea of always searching for the perfect QB , at some point you need to work with what ya got.
Ronnie received a phantom point in post #2383. Count is good. Chad Pennington [67] Jake Long [130] Ronnie Brown [124] Joey Porter [3] Tony Sparano [126]
LOL Hear ya, but heh penny proven Henne unproven, Henne is the future I hope just not ready to put all my eggs in the Henne basket yet. Let him win it .
