according to this story the bills threw fat cash taylors way before he signed with us for less..... http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/20607408/ the same story has a rumor of vick to barfalo..... thoughts?
thoughts I have: Jt's the man. I think in the coming weeks we will hear rumors about other teams he turned down more money for. Seems like the whole being close to his family talk, was in fact his main motivation. Second thought: Why are you a mentor, is that really the message we want to send newbies? Third thought: I'm pretty hungry..
People in Barfalo should lock up their dogs, supply their daughters with chastity belts to protect from the coming herpes epidemic, and should staff extra security at every Barfalo McDonalds parking lot in case Marcus follows?
I have a thought. If both TO and Vick are in Buffalo we will see no other team in the AFCE get more coverage in the media than them. We could be posting an 18-0 record getting ready to go to the superbowl and it wouldn't matter.
As for Mike Vick: per pft. If Vick went to Buffalo, would he need the key to the city or the jail cell?
Dog track. Seriously I would at the Bills if they got Vick much like I at them for T.O. And now I shall one more time because JT spurned them.
Let's see....a QB that doesn't pass with a greedy WR that shoots off at the mouth if he doesn't get the ball?
Living this close to Atlanta, the man makes my skin crawl. The news hounds follow him around all the time. He's a creep. I never liked him before this dog killing came up. He's a smug jerk IMO. Maybe it's because he was shoved down our throats when he came to Atlanta, I don't know, but he's a piece of work, that's for sure.
Well that all may have been true before, but he has spent some time in jail and had a lot taken away from him. It might not have changed him at all, but it might have. So I'm going to wait and see before I say he's still a terrible person.
I believe in second chances. I believe that he has paid his debt to society. I don't want him in Miami.
Did you ever watch the one game he played against us and threw all over the field ? the guy can throw and run in my opinion.
better in buffalo than in boston too small a town for all that ego: a WR who want the ball every play & a QB that wants to run, both with a lot to prove, should wide up a real dog fight the snow & rabid fans will end their careers early good to have JT back in the fold
That was back in 05 if I remember right. He had a couple of good games that year, but he's more apt to run than he is to pass, IMO, and I think the Synergy between him and T.O. would be disastrous.
I could see them getting Vick in hopes he is their version of Pat White and the Wildcat. Only problem is, is that Vick does not pass as accurately as White and is not consistant. I just had a thought. What happens when Vick settles with a team and decides to get a dog for a pet. I can just imagine some of the comments and sports headlines.
A different way to look at it is they get a Qb who can run, they play on turf, and T Edwards is not that good of a Qb, Vick, if renstated, would be an upgrade for that offense. When it is 20 degrees in the Mistake by the Lake, Vick has the arm to power the ball through that wind, Edwards is more or less sack bait in those conditions.
He's verboten to have a dog. I like the way I look at it better Padre. Running from Bubba for a year must have honed his scrambling game a bit too.
i would just hate to be the center the first time vick suits up at practice for someone.......he'll probably look like a easter ham in his eyes....
Vick's QB rating so far in his NFL career is 75.5%. His completion percentage average for his career so far is 53.8. In the last three years he played he had: 2004- 56.4% 14 TDs and 12 Ints 2005- 55.3% 15 TDs and 13 Ints 2006- 52.6% 20 TDs and 13 Ints His highest completion percentage in a year was 2004. An average passer at best.
Vick's been to the NFCC. White hasn't even played a down yet. Character issue notwithstanding, I'd take vick over pat white as it relates to experience and talent 10 out of 10 right now.
But we're looking at filling in a situational position, not a full time QB spot. I'd rather start fresh with someone that hasn't got the moral baggage that Vick would come with. And let's face it, no matter where he goes, there will be the extreme lovers of Vick, and those that despise him, he'll polarize a fan base somewhere.
20 TD's to 13 INT isn't bad especially when you consider what he could do with his legs. Trying to measure Vick as a player just by his arm doesnt work IMO.
Speaking from somebody who lives in western NY, the bills are insanely desperate right now. Sports in Buffalo is at an all time low and so is the economy in Buffalo, people are leaving the city and so might the bill because fan support is on the decline. Therefore, the team will throw money at any player that would bring any kind of interest to the table(T.O., Vick, JT). Right now everyone is extremely optamistic about this season. Sad thing is, they will never be better than 9-7.
Any team quarterbacked by Vick is a dangerous, difficult team to face. I hope he stays out of the AFCE.
Don't buy the hype. He's always been touted much more highly than his production ever lived up to. I could care less if he went to Buffalo.
