i do agree that sometimes it can be more comfortable. I sometimes wear my hat, without a flat brim, off my head because after wearing a hat for a while it begins to get to tight.

i will say this; for those who noted that New Era baseball hats have a crummy bill on them, and therefore they leave them straight, that much is very true!

for the 35 bucks they charge for a MLB hat, it is hard to get the bill to curve and stay curved normally on one of their hats. they just seem cheap compared to the rest of the hat. just about every other brand of hat has a better bill on them that is easier to form and that will stay formed.

can y'all tell i take my hats seriously? :)

now as for those who said the hat fits better that way, i have always felt the opposite; until the bill is curved the hat just feels tight on my head.

I like how this thread is all 30+ people questioning younger fashion trends. Some of you seem genuinely interested, but most are just mocking trends. Get over yourselves. We do not want to look like you. That is why we distinguish ourselves.

Heres a tip: If you dont like a trend and wish it would go away, then every older person should adopt that trend and it will die a short death.

Or we could just allow the fashion police to use 'extreme prejudice' when coming across some clown with his pants around his knees and his hat on funny.

i grew up watching the "little rascals" on tv. it seemed like everytime there was a bully or some special needs kid, they always had their hat cocked to one side or backwards. that picture stuck.:wink2:

As a 40 year old myself I always looked at those wearing hats sideways, upside down etc. as just to stupid to wear a hat. *All due apologies to the youngsters here who have embraced that style.*

i never got into anything too trendy, thank goodness. give or take the Members Only jacket i had. that got dumped quickly in favor of a letter jacket though.

and my class in high school was about two years after the death of the ruffled tuxedo shirt, too.

so luckily neither my senior pictures or my prom pictures make me look like a Vegas lounge singer.

nah, people wearing socks with sandals isn't about age as much as it is location. here in the tourist mecca of charleston, sc, alot of the old yankees who visit sport that look.

Browns fans, Bengals fans, Jets fans, Patriots fans, Buffalo fans. you get the idea...

It's just a fashion that I don't understand myself, but it's okay. I'm 44 and todays fashion of what the kids like to wear, but then again, I don't have to.

I had an earring back in the 80s. Ended up closing up and a keloid scar formed that I had to see a plastic surgeon to remove. $900 out of pocket. Never again.

i wear my hats a couple different ways. straight brim, i wear them straight back or sometimes back and to the side a little bit. i also have curved hats i wear straight forward. hats look better on me backwards, so most of the time i rock straight lids. i have never onced rocked a hat with the sticker still on it though, looks ugly as hell to me.

as for the jeans off my ***, i rock 2 different things there as well. if i have baggyer jeans on, i have them more toward my waist. when i rock skinny jeans though, they are atleast halfway off my ***. my shirt covers my *** and i have boxers on underneath, but i just can not bring myself to have skinny jeans up my ***.

fashion is exactly that, fashion at that point in time. if i look back to middle school i think about how dumb i used to dress...if i look back to elementry school though, i used to be a little G. rockin things kids just startin wearing.

theres a lot of fashion things i dont get, but since i dont like them, i dont wear them. simple as that. the extreme rocker style or the extreme preppy style, i cant get into. i will never wear pants that are wide enough you cant see my shoes. and i will never rock a real tight shirt with kachi shorts, flip flops, and a trucker cap every day of my life, but some people do, and thats cool with me. im glad everyone doesnt dress the same. we would look ridiculous.
