Nineteen months after tearing a knee ligament, Brown said he feels ''stronger and better'' and is ''taking the weight on my shoulders'' to improve the running game. Brown averaged 4.3 yards a carry in 2008 -- 5.7 on 56 Wildcat runs but 3.8 otherwise. The ducks are all lined up for Ronnie having a big year . http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/columnists/barry-jackson/story/1045271.html
I hope he stays true to form. If he average at least 5.5 yards per carry, He should finally get the recognition he started to get right before his injury. More then that bodes well for our team as a whole.
If he averages 5.5 YPC, I'll be jumping for joy. I think the bar for Ronnie should be set at 4.6 YPC or higher.
It will be interesting to see if we return to more of a run based offense this year. It would be really great if our offensive line could be dominating also.
I hope Ronnie shows up, shows out, and busts other teams defense to the point of shame! He's a good player and guy.
dude. 5.5 YPC. if he can average that.. we are gonna win some games. a lot of games. 5.5 YPC is nuts. That's basically 2nd and short; which is a quarterbacks best friend.
Some fans were disappointed because he didnt have gaudy numbers .Our interior OL suffered from injuries and a center who got handled by the divisions top NTs. IMO we can thank Ronnie for being in the playoffs .Without him the Wildcat would not have not worked .
I really hope he cant rack up around AT LEAST 1200 yards and 10-13TDs rushing and 350 yards and 2-3 TDs recieving. I also hope Ricky gets around 600 yards and 6-8 TDs and 200 yards and 1-2 TDs recieving. If these things happen then we can expect a good season.
Tandem from Hell will burn the turf plying behind the Orca-5 both Ronnie & Ricky extremely motivated & ready to play: Ronnie should be at his peak after the injury & Ricky has an opportunity Io break the Dolphin all time rushing record held by Czonka this year. Should be one of the best, if not the best Tandems in 2009.
He's gonna have to have a big year if he wants this front office to resign him. If they think they can get the same production for less from a younger guy, they will. Gotta show them he's something special.
I think he's going to have a big year. A newly re-tool offensive line infront of him, his knee truly back to form now, and a contract year. I would be surprised if he didnt have a big year.
I just hope we give him more than 10 carries a game. We definately under utilized him last year imo. Hes destined to have a huge year, so lets give him the chance to.
I just think we need to give him the ball more later in the game. He gets better with the amount of carries he gets.
