Unless his support base can convince Tony Sparano to take him back I don't think he has much of a choice. The man obviously wants to work. What do you suggest he do? Go play for a bottom feeder?

It's no different than what Brett Favre is going to do to the Packers' fanbase WHEN he signs with the Vikings.

Honestly speaking I wish him all the worst football wise.

Jason Taylor is dead to me. **** him.

Put his name on a banner around the stadium and my ongoing 16 seasons as a season ticket holder is DONE.

If the guys want to play, then let them play. If they only have one or two teams interested, it's pretty simple.

If you get married and divorced and the only woman willing to get with you is your ex-wife's daughter (since we are parental figures to the Patriots)... do you think that's cool?

Nope... not wishing anything ill against his health or well being.

I just hope he fails miserably from here on out as a professional athlete.

Should we really care at this point where he plays? Our FO moved on, Taylor moved on, and regardless with where he ends up he is going to be the enemy. So who cares if he plays for the Pats?

Cut the emotional ties, he isn't a Miami Dolphin anymore.

I have mixed feelings about the whole situation. We don't really know if there have been any discussions with the Dolphins on JTs part. Maybe they just couldn't come to an agreement, or maybe he didn't want to wait until they decided if they wanted him or not. JT was traded to the Redskins and maybe he took that as a slight on the Dolphins part.
I can remember though that he was one of the few things we had to cheer about and feel pride for, for a long time. I don't like his going to the Patriots or even the thought of him wearing their uniform. We don't know if they are the only team to show interest in him, but its been a long time since Washington cut him and there hasn't been much interest in his services as reported by the media. As was said before, this is a business and his first obligation is to earn a living and if NE is the only suiter then I don't blame him. I wont cheer for him but, I don't blame him.

If I recall...Taylor made his own bed with the trade to the Chiefs. It wasn't like Parcells and Sparano came in, and kicked him to the curb. He did his dancing thing, and didn't want to do the training camp thing, and started demanding trades. If he had wanted to play, he should have played in Miami, and not tried to whore himself out to whatever team he thought he could ride to a Superbowl.

    Seriously?

You'd give up season tickets because the best Defensive player this team has ever had was put in the ring of honor?

I didn't support his actions last year and I really don't like the idea of him going north but I wouldn't give up season tickets for that. Besides, I don't think he can be truly productive for a season...if he makes it a whole season.

The Patriots made it known early on they wanted him.
JT swallowed his pride, and made it known he wanted to play here.
    We didn't sign him.
He waited until after the draft.
We didn't sign him, and I haven't read about any other teams showing interest.
JT plays football, If the Patriots are the only ones who offered him a contract, its either sign, or retire.
It was in our court to decide the outcome, which we waived in favor of more playing time for others,
which, outside of an "over-the-hill hasbeen", has been the only reason stated why we haven't signed him .

So, as sickening as this sounds, any discord related to this, should be addressed directly to the:

What would be hilarious is if JT goes to NE to chase that ring and Tom Brady gets put on IR again and he wastes one of the precious few years left in his career missing the playoffs again. I'm not wishing Tom Brady ill but he's getting older and is going to be wearing a knee brace the rest of his pro career supposedly. It's a definite consideration.

Well, there is no decision worse for him that NE in terms of Miami Fanbase IMO. Even the Bilsl or Jets wouldnt gag as many people as NE will since they are now our primary threat.

I suppose some of it will be what comes out later. If they are passing on JT because he wont come in for the offseason program, then Miami fans will prob not appreciate Taylor again.

If they are just passing on him and he is willing to come in, it would be a great PR move for him to say so. Based on what came down with the redskins, he may be refusing to do the off season program. If thats the case,m I'm glad he's going elsewhere. If he goes to NE I hope Jake Long stuffs him in a hole.

This is a bit off. I doubt we'd have any interest if he isnt willing to join us in the off season program. Remember last year?

I can blame him! He was on our favorite team for so long then he WANTED to go play for a winner and almost got his wish. Instead his new team, one that he hand picked, sucked. Now he is going to the ENEMY within the division.

Screw JT if this indeed comes true. I hope he falls flat on his face when he steps out of the plane taking him to his new team.

As for Zach. Well, he never wanted to leave here in the first place. He was cut, and still wanted to play football. The Patsies were interested and he said he COULD NOT bring himself to do it because he is a Dolphin and will always be one.

If it werent enough that he was here...

He ends up playing for for all of a few weeks before he goes out all year with an injury...leaving us short handed without a solid 3rd down back option.

I can't even remember if anyone even hit him or did he just plant wrong and drop?

Maybe you say you can't fault a guy for getting hurt, but after being such a punk against us with the Buffs.....meh :tongue2:

Maybe we finally won't have to read any more posts about how Jason 'bleeds aqua and orange'.

Two years ago, amidst rumours Jason was problematic in his passive aggressive stance towards Cam Cameron, many insisted Jason was immune from being discussed in any possible negative light.

Last year he was dancing his way off the team while the other players were in the offseason conditioning program (the one that brought our injuries way down from previous years and helped us win the division), and people gnashed their teeth if anyone called JT a me-first player.

I really really hope Jason signs with the Pats at this point, just because I am so sick of hearing JT's apologists stick up for him and I want it to be clear that this man (unlike a Zach Thomas) is full-of-crap when he talks to the cameras. He's self-interested.

Look I have no issue with him going anywhere he wants. I just got sick of him trying to act like he was always the good guy, saying one thing and doing another. This lack of genuineness will help him fit perfectly into the deceitful Pats' organisation.

Jason is a great player, but he's too damned worried about his image. just be blunt and honest, Jason. It's a BUSINESS, if you set our expectations truthfully up front we won't feel so betrayed later, dumbarse!!!

Anyways, I hope he signs with them so everyone who still thinks he speaks only gilded truth will realise he's as calculating and full of it as the nbext guy.

And that includes Parcells, a guy who is at least HONEST to the press about lying! lol. He would tell reporters to their face that he won;t tell them what he's really thinking! No platitudes and pretending to be sincere.

PLease Jason, if you sign with the Pats, don;t back into it like an apologising coward. Just tell us the damned truth without a bunch of mealy-mouthed implications that you'd have loved Miami (but that we must have rebuffed you).

    For example, try.....

"I'm signing with the Pats because this is a business and I need to worry about myself, not my loyalties to a past team or teammates. I'm a hired gun. A mercenary. Miami was great but they're the enemy now."

Say something that honest, at least. I might respect you if you do that. Not as much as Zach, but still.

I absolutely agree with all of this. That was what really got to me last year. If he had just been honest I think a lot of this would have blown over but he kept up the "if the Dolphins can get good value I'm OK with a trade. If not I'll play for the Dolphins" crap. He was never committed to this team.

IF this happens I would love for the fans to all wear their Jersey's to the game and when they announce Jason taylor the first time as a Patriot they all throw their jersey onto the field or just all trow them down and let out a collective BOOOOOO, and be done with him as a dolphin forever.

Forgive the reference but that's like Eisenhower joining the Nazi Party..

I wish a lot of you could see how childish and petty you sounded.

The Miami Dolphins do not want him back. He wanted to come back, he is not rejecting them, they are rejecting him. He's got to work, get over it.

And for the one millionth stinking time enough with the Zach Thomas crap. I like Zach too but the guy was intending to sign with the Jets. So enough already. I wonder how many times I can post this and it can be conveniently ignored by those huffing and puffing about JT not retiring b/c Miami doesn't want him anymore. I just can't wait to hear how Zach being ready to sign with the Jets is different than JT taking an offer from the Pats.

I understand the rancor because of the fandom and homerism. Make no mistake, Jason Taylor understands that this won't be popular. I fundamentally believe that if the Dolphins wanted him, he'd put on a uniform right now. The Patriots want him more. Period

Now...my $0.02...f*** Jason Taylor, he's a Pat. I hope Ronnie Brown runs right toward him and he folds like an old magazine.

I would guess the Dolphins don't want him at all or they made an offer that was ridiculously low.

And he's not a Pat just yet. Don't be surprised to see good performances from him against us. If someone told me I wasn't good enough for them I would want to show them up too.
