FYI: In case anyone is interested, I didn't see this posted yet.

He basically went through and discussed each position, but since I am leaning toward wanting us to take Jake Long #1, here are his thoughts on that position.

    Steve :)

Note: I see this was already posted in the VIP section. Sorry about that for those who frequent both sections!

Yeah, everyone was SO surprised that Alabi was let go??? I read the same that same article. I guess I don't understand why Florio says that people were surprised. As far as I know Alabi is still out there as a FA.

Well, I ALMOST was. It didn't last long, though. I remember being optimistic when we drafted him.....converted TE...athletic...great footwork..LT for years to come. So much for all of that!

 Yeah I never really liked him. I dont know why, I just didn't. I think it was because a couple of times he had chances to start and couldn't capitalize.

Yeah how bad is that? As bad as our line had been.

Lol yeah, you have to wonder if he is one of those players that looks great in practice but when its time to step up, he goes back in the little box.

With as bad as our OL has been any one we cut is either simply not fit for our system or trash. In either case I won't mourn for them.

There was enough suck on the dolphins last year for 5 teams and at this moment I'll say my only loyalty right now is with the team. Any player that gets cut from that squad most likely doesn't belong in the NFL unless it's for salary reasons.

I like it and I'm all for Jake Long with the first pick.

Not every player on that team is trash. The TEAM went 1-15 due to a number of reasons, not because we had 53 talentless players.

thanks for posting the article down here.

for a Pft article- it seemed pretty well researched. I think looking through the needs section the writer essentially gave a mock draft that would be pretty good.

    1. j. long
2a. brohm or henne- for we seem to have shown more interest there
    2b. cason if possible
    3. vince hall ilb VA
    4
    5 none
    6 tim zbikowski
    7

fill in blanks as needed, but not a bad draft if it came out like that.

I would love if the draft worked out like that but I don't think Cason will be there that late.

true- but something should be left of the upper tier CBs by the end of two.

I take several issues with this "article." First, Carey is more of a guard than tackle? Sure, right after he played at a high level at RT and moved over to LT and according to Carey barely graded lower? Sounds good to me. Julius Wilson is penciled in as the RT? Yes I checked, and neither Parcells, Ireland, Sparano nor Maser contributed to this article, so I'm not sure Wilson is already penciled in as the starting RT. As a matter of fact, this is the first I ever heard of that. Adding Smiley "may help."

Ok those are my thoughts on just the oline. Don't let me get started on his comments regarding Will Allen!
