I am guessing the Dolphins will cease signings unless they sign the lb that was at the facility last week (Smith?). I went to draftdaddy.com and reviewed the remaining free agents left and didn't really see much (most people do not have a high opinion of Starks, the OT from Pittsburgh. However, he can be signed without draft compensation). There just isn't much left at OL, DL, or CB. Lee2000
The big money is gone, and so is the high wuality talent. I think we done all we can, unless someone gets cut all of a sudden.
I'm thinking unless they find a diamond in the rough or want more training camp fodder then they are probablyat least close to being done at that point. With all the quality gone anyone we sign now will simply be roster filler anyway.
We'll probably sign some players after the draft to have depth going into training camp but I really can't see anymore signings that will shock you.
i thought the fins would go after fabini if not i think the fins are done until the undrafted free agents and then the cuts
Yeah, Fabini would be about the only one I could see us still having an interest in, other than a guy cut here or there.
There might be a few guy's that the Tuna is waiting out to see if they will play at the vet minimum but other then that I think he is fully concentraiting on this years draft.. Marino1983
Most of the remaining talent are restricted free agents, so I wouldn't expect anything grand at this point. There are a few guys still out there who could help us: Max Starks and Chris Naeole come to mind (I know some people are down on Starks, but I'd give him a shot, at least as a swing tackle). Andre Dyson and Kalimba Edwards are guys who might be interesting fits for us, as well.
I do recall someone posting that if Pete Kendall were to be cut from Washington that Miami would be interested. I wouldn't mind Naeole coming in at all, he could be a RG which would allow Smiley to move to LG where he played at 'Bama.
Does anyone know why Shane Olivea was cut by the Bolts and if there is an injury or something that might keep him from being signed somewhere...?? He started for the first 4 yrs and then had only 13 starts last year...Given our need for OL, I can't figure why Tunaland hasn't jumped on at least a few more warm bodies (like Fabini and Olivea)...seems curious to me...
