The Official What was the last movie you saw??

And you can't say the Scorpion king was any good. Biased or not, I don't see how you can even argue that one.

 

I actually do plan on renting that eventually, as I was a fan of the originals way back when.

 

I can and will. I like that movie, part II was horrid. But one was pretty good, IMO.

That movie scared me when I was little. Kind of like Labyrinth did, but for different reasons. lol

 

He picks some horrible roles.

Either that, or he just doesn't get offered much work.

 

How does he pick bad roles? He gets picked for alot of Disney movie roles, AKA family friendly roles that appeal to almost every age group, and its not like Disney is some low budget company that offers him little contracts to make these movies.

Every actor has a couple of movies that dont do well, or are hit and miss with the public.

But for the most part, IMO, and I mean this as a movie fan, not a Rock fan, his movies have been pretty good.

He does Disney and "Good guy saves whoever movies" with the exception of Doom. I just wish he would do something different.

 

I'm guessing Labyrinth scared you for the same reason it made my wife...um...discover herself?

Doom and Gameplan were good movies, IMO. Gameplan, you have to have kids to really enjoy it, IMO. And Doom, you kind of have to be a Doom junkie, IMO. Doom is just as good IMO as Resident Evil is. But I do agree he needs to do something different, he has the potential to get some of these action hero roles, I dont know why he doesn't take them, or get them. He has something called "The Tooth Fairy" coming out and its a horror movie...lol...I dont know about that.

 

Compared to Get Shorty it was terrible, but it was....ok. He played his role too well.

 

You can definitely tell that a lot more money and writing was put into Resident Evil than Doom. And it helps make those movies much better IMO.

I don't have any kids so I'm Disney-free.

Walking Tall was an excellent movie. Doom was horrible. Such a great video game that had a nice storyline but was ruined by cheesy one-liners.

 

Just watched The Wrestler. I am blown away and completely mortified that Mickey Rourke didn't get the Oscar for Best Actor. And yes, I saw Milk. Sean Penn can't even hold Mickey's jock. Or tights, in this case.

Fantastic movie-10/10.

Ever see the original Walking Tall? It's a bit more violent, low budget, and redneck than the remake.

Saw 'Paul Blart, Mall Cop' at the dollar movies today. Another I'm glad I didn't pay 9 bucks to see, but worth a buck.

That piece of trash has to be the worst movie that I've ever seen. Completely awful.

 

I kept wishing that Arnold and his team from Predator would drop down from their helicopter and start wasting all those ******s in animal costumes.

Just watched 'Robocop' on IFC. Haven't seen that in 20 years. Now I remember where I'd seen Eric's dad from 'That 70's Show' before, he's one of the head baddies in the movie.
