I'll probably never order from Dominos again.

Dominoes isn't very good any ways.

And you have to be foolish in your lifetime if you think your food doesn't get messed with.

In the case of Dominoes, those are considered improvements.

PJs is definately the best unless you have a good local one. Dominoes>Pizza Hut though imo.

I worked at a McDonalds for a year with a mostly high school age crew and while they werent super serious about cleanliness, they did all the basics like good workers. Never saw them doing anything intentionally either.
You definately hear horror stories though about the health dept. shutting down places and employees getting caught. I like to believe most places are honest with people just trying to earn a living, but theres always some bad apples I suppose.

I never send my food back though :wink2:

this is one reason i always try to treat food and beverage workers with respect, regardless of what happens.

if i feel i get bad service or the food is poorly cooked or not of good quality, somewhere, i simply take that establishment off the list of places i will return. if things are really bad, i might consider calling and speaking to a manager, especially if it is locally owned. but i have yet to do so. guess my experiences have been pretty good ones so far.

but there is no way in hell i am sending food back to the kitchen or treating the staff poorly for this very reason.

not defending them in any way, shape, or form. they deserve whatever payback they receive.

How stupid do you have to be to post a video on the internet of you messing with food, and think you wont get caught?

Its like this with any service personnell or retail jobs generally. There are always people who are good honest workers no matter what, and a few (rare) who are douchebags no matter what, and a fair amount inbetween who will be nice as long as you are.

When you piss people off who control things that affect you though, especially if YOUR just being a douche, then there is a chance you get some payback. Ive heard of things like airport checkin people routing your bags to Europe instead of LA. Just remember to treat everyone respectfully and if there is a problem be rational about it. If things dont get better, let a manager know your displeasure and/or dont return, but dont be an ***.

I never send my food back for fear of nasty things being done, but I don't see how saying 'Hey man this isn't what I ordered, can you take it back please?' or 'I ordered this well and its pretty rare, can you cook it up a bit?' is really treating them like crap. If you're paying for that service shouldnt it be correct?

Ah I gotcha. I was confused because of people here saying never send your food back and you should expect it if you do

As someone who has worked in both retail sales and food industry ... youd really be surprised. People often think that the nastier and angrier they are the more people will bend to their will and do what they want.

And they often do ... up front.

Yes it is. The amount of crap that goes into things that are sent back is disturbing.

The bad thing is that if the kitchen screws up an order, a lot of the flack is put on the waiter or waitress because the customers cannot directly communicate with the kitchen staff. I work as a server at a steakhouse and things go wrong all the time. Wrong side orders, steak not cooked enough, etc. It's easy to fix and the kitchen never complains if something is sent back. It just sucks because it becomes the server's fault and the amount of tip the server gets suffers all the same. I don't cook the steak, but I have to deal with the angry customer that didn't get what they asked for.

I don't think that's true at all. At the steakhouse I work in, all the guys in the kitchen are lewd, rude, and pretty nasty all around. But they make good food and if something comes back that the customer says is wrong, they might say something about it, but it gets fixed without being touched. Have a little more faith in the people that are making your food.

I worked at Arby's for a few years, and at a Flying J Cookery for a couple summers, and we never did anything to any of the food that got sent back or any of the complaints. Were we happy about having to do stuff again? No. But we didn't intentionally do crap to people's food.

Where is the incentive? Yea, I know, I'll mess with these people because I have to remake any order. That way they never come here again, the store loses money, and I end up losing my job. Yea, that's the ticket.

I've had jobs either serving or making food for about 10 years and I've never seen anything disgusting done to anyone's food. The most I've seen is adding hot peppers or a hotter sauce then normal.

As for Waiting, on the guest end about rudeness and how annoying they can be it is completely true. However, on the employee end it is way over the top. It is very accurate on how much servers complain though. One day of work consist of 40% work and 60% complaining.

Ugh, you are giving them too much credit. 80% complaining, 10% work, and 10% texting on their cell phones in the kitchen. I don't complain... I am lucky to have a job right now I think. Though I do text in the kitchen... :wink2:

Forgot about the texting. I'm a fan of acting like I'm on the micros but really I'm just texting.

On the subject of if its safe to send food back or not. I think a good way to tell is just check their bathrooms. If they look really clean and neat you can tell they care and will most likely treat your food the same way.
