damnit! i wish that tennessee game wasnt so late in the year... i wanted to go, but thats a long trip for me to make in winter like that with weather being so unpredictable... I don't know what to do now.. and holy crap!! 3 primetime games!!! thats sweet!!! no wait, 4!!!
I love it! Steelers at the end so we will be clicking on all cylinders. No real cold weather games. How many days till Kickoff!?
even better, 4 out of the first 6 at home + a bye week. We need to come out of that no worse than 4-2.
Just absolutely brutal schedule (in terms of opponents), but we did luck out by not having much snow potential. Also, we have 2 MNF Games, 1 Thursday Night game, and a Sunday PT game. That is great for us, but difficult on guys during the season--could effect us negatively.
Well the upside is we really don't have any cold weather games after we play the Bills at the end of November. Three of our last 5 are at home, including a REALLY tough match up against the Steelers to end the regular season. To start the season we finally have three of the first 5 at home, 2 on Monday night, which tempers our home field advantage of playing in those hot humid fall afternoons. The NFL always finds a way to screw us in this area. Very few games in Miami in Sept/Oct or if we have them, they move them to Monday night. We have been shown some respect with FOUR prime time games. So that is certainly saying something. Miami also owns the hardest schedule in the NFL based on winning % of last year. But not going to use that as an excuse, want to BE the MAN, we have to first BEAT the MAN!!
Love that we end with PIttsburgh, but my father turns 80 on 12/30 and the family may be spending time AFTER the new year together, which could scuttle my plans to go to Miami to see them play the Steelers, as my wife is a big Steeler fan.
Hey Cane!! I agree, we need to start strong, just to really establish we are for real. And the last 5 weeks, even with 3 of 5 at home, we play some tough teams. But then again we do all season long. Hey, you going to have your chat room open this season?
Tenn in Dec is rarely bad travel wise. I have been living here 17 years now and have yet to see a white Christmas. Gonna try to go to this game. Perhaps a Christmas present from my family?!?!?!
The Two Games I had targeted to see live there are very serious and potential scheduling conflicts... Being that I live in Los Angeles, was planning on heading to San Diego. Yeah, the day AFTER my wife's birthday. And while she is a BIG football fan, don't know if she is going to want to spend her birthday weekend in SD at a Dolphin Game. Second, we both were talking about going to Miami for the Steelers game, that is her team. My father turns 80 on 12/30 and maybe with my family in early January to celebrate, meaning NO TRIP TO MIAMI!! DAMN!!!
And yet again, we play a road game during Thanksgiving weekend! I go back to Ft. Laud for Thanksgiving, and there's NEVER A HOME GAME!!!
Yep...In some form or another, it will be there. btw. Nice Sig. The dude who created it is an R-teest!
How about this for football weekends: Sept 12: UGA vs SC in Athens SEPT 13: Phins at ATL NOV 19: Phins at CAR NOV 21: UGA vs UK in Athens Looking at the Dawgs schedule, I think I can fit in 2 Phins/Dawgs weekends. Obviously Sept 12/13 is a no brainer with the 2 games so close. But the Phins play at Carolina on 11/19 in a Thursday night game. IF I go to that game, I would have to take Friday off. Dawgs play at home vs UK on the 21st. Seems to me that can be done as well. I will at least try to do it. Dec 13th vs Jags is a no brainer as well. To bad the GA/FL game doesn't bump up against that game. Still, I can handle that break with GA/FL being Oct 31.
Really? What's the average temp around there that time of year? Im looking to book a hotel room right now anyways just in case Im able to get tickets to the game and go anyways. Any idea's/suggestions of whats close and nice? Feel free to pm me some details if you get a chance!
wont be able to go to the jet game in NY this year as ill be in vegas, but im going to that chargers game!
Vs Carolina Prime time...I am THERE baby...and at the Atlanta game and Tennessee. Tough schedule...let's hope we can fill some holes and step it up another notch this season. 4 prime time games. That's a bit of a surprise.
Loving the Tenn. game on December 20th there's no better way to celebrate Christmas than with my first fins game. Also I have to agree with Mulligan December travel weather in Tenn. is not bad in fact we are usually still hanging around the 50s.
Now this is the way it used to be man. Prime time games IN Miami. I love it. Lets hope things pan out well for us.
^too many prime time games in Miami to me.... only 3 of our home games are 1 oclock starts... which is the time i need to be able to come in from out of town to catch a game without having to take a day off of work... and 2 of those are christmas and new years weekends... damn, it'll be tough to get down... though i do love the primetime atmosphere and being able to watch those games at home without going to a bar, just not convenient for flying down for games...
In regards to all the "It's not in the Official Thread" stuff, I was thankful somebody posted a separate thread so I didn't have to sift through a ten page thread to find it. Wow, what a schedule. A lot of fans are going to get to find out how much fun the Sparano led Dolphins are to watch. I'm also bummed the Carolina game is on a Thursday. That makes it harder to get to, but I'll still probably make the trip.
the one game i can't wait for the HOUSTON TEXANS i hope the phins crush them. the last two times we played them made my blood boil........
