As always, I'm sure we all wish Zach the best of luck there and hope he can end his career on a high note.

I get a lot of Chiefs games being they are popular here (and the fact that the Bears, Viks, and Pack are only on Fox usually) and I hated watching them.

Now if they aren't playing when Miami plays, I'll pay a little more attention to them. Best of luck to Zach!

Lived in KC for almost 15 years. Saw a few games in Arrowhead. Awesome fans, they always fill the stadium and that place is loud! I was hoping he would end his career in Miami, but I wish him the best. The fans will really get behind him.

Will be interesting to see if they can protect him if they're indeed going to a 3-4 this year. Doesn't seem like they've got the personnel yet though.

Pioli's Chiefs are already starting to look like the Pats, with 34 and 36 year old starters in the linebacker corps.

Now we've got a rooting interest in KC doing well.

Arrowhead is a great stadium, the fans are super nice too. When I went to the Miami/KC game, a lot of the regulars there were nice and didn't talk trash, just said "welcome to Arrowhead!"

i guess they like old LB's in kc. First Vrabel, now ZT. I wish ZT the best. I know my dad's happy. He's a die hard Chiefs fan, he was telling me about this earlier. I thought he was joking at first. lol

If the Chiefs draft Curry, as expected, I'd expect to see him kicked inside in the base 3-4 (assuming KC makes the transition). The starting lineup would look like Johnson / Curry / Vrabel / Hali, so I don't think Zach would even start. He's likely just being brought in as a mentor.

Both the Vrabel and Thomas signings point to KC being serious about taking Curry at #3 overall.

Zach Thomas just left Dallas and said he wanted to play in a 4-3 system so this is weird

That's what I thought too. Especially also since it's a 50/50 chance at least that KC drafts Curry, and Zach may not even start if they do.

I'm sceptical of that reason, which sounds exactly like one Zack would make, when in reality he simply wanted out of Dallas, and his supportive role for a disjointed, underachieving, no chemistry defense.

Why? I mean yeah things were crazy in Big D but Zach is not a 3-4 LB. He is a below average 3-4 LB, But yet a still above average 4-3 LB. I just dont get it unless he only got one contract offer.

I'm not sure they'd pay him a mill more than the Cowboys did if they intended on him being a backup? That would be weird, plus he's still too good to be sitting. The Cowboys didn't play him enough, he's still a tree-down LB! Go ZACH!

So now does this mean that Taylor may begin to think about a third preferred destination? Might he want to play with Zack again?

I highly doubt that playing with Zack is anywhere close to his top 5 priorities.

I hope he tears it up and I hope now that KC can make a serious run at things due to a weak division
