They've nerfed him pretty bad too. The belly suck is his ultra move, so it can only be done once in a match. (not 3 times like the CPU) and his others moves aren't nearly as strong either.

It's actually pretty dissappointing. You do all that work to unlock him and Ryu, Akuma, Sagat and Ken are still the most powerful guys

I don't usually have a problem with the belly suck. You can't block the actual suck, but if you hold back while he's sucking you then whatever move he tries to use as a follow up will be blocked.

If you play online, then it's worth its weight in gold. So addicting. I'm at about 150 matches and it's just a blast. online is lag free and generally well set up.

no. Capcom claims that SFIV can't be done on the wii or ps2 cause of the graphics it uses. I kind of don't buy that excuse as a wii owner, but it is capcom after all.

It went well, it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. The only tricky one was Gouken, but I have all of them unlocked.

I wasn't going to get this game but I was in Best Buy today and they had a demo of it set up. I started playing, instantly remembered the joy of playing street fighter II at age 13 or so and there was no way I was walking out of the store without this thing. This is a blast and a very good looking game on top of that. They should remake some more old school games like this.

I haven't had the courage to play online yet. I realized I had forgotten half of the moves but it's slowly coming back to me. On the demo I picked Ryu and had no problem remembering how to pull of shoryuken [or however it goes] though. Ahh the memories.

I've been playing a lot. And not to sound arrogant or whatever but I'm damned good. My top 6 right now are, in order, Sagat, Dhalsim, Zangief, Sakura, Abel, E. Honda

Everybody is good with Sagat. But I'm not going to say anything else b/c you can probably beat me. I've played one online match and barely won with Ryu. The other guy was using a character I haven't unlocked yet.

i recently called it quits online. Im 201-145. Of those 346 matches, I assure you Ken was at least 250 of them.

I honestly don't think I can fight another Ken. If i do, I'll explode.

    AHHHHHHHHHH

I hope they fix the selection screen to where you can't see who your opponent picks, it is funny how many people wait to see who i pick (which is usually sakura) then head right for Ken, Sagat, or Zangief.

I have to wait for people to pick. Unfortunately i have to do it like this.

If they pick Sagat, Ken, Akuma, Gouken, or Ryu, I use Sagat.

If they use anyone else, I use Cammie.

I tried cammie against the big guys and got so frustrated over seeing the same few characters that i said to myself "why should I try being someone different if over half the people aren't."

My only real annoyances are Ken and Zangief though. Kens Sheryoken is just total bull. it's blockable but so instant that it makes no sense. Ken can actually stand up faster by doing a sheryoken while laying down. What IS that? And Zangiefs Left Bumper attack (The spinning lariat thing) is a total game breaker. Almost unblockable, makes him practically invulnerable and he cant get hit by projectiles. (Ironically, anyone looking to beat the game on the hardest difficulty for the achievement/trophy, just pick Zangief and do this move over and over until you win. It even works on seth...on hardest..trust me...)

I got my 50th win online last night, and the only three charators people choose where Ryu, Ken, and Akuma.

I feel I have moved up the latter last night as I got my very first Ragequits, 3 total. One guy even beat me the first round but when i started to pummel him in the second round he dissconnected. I guess Battle Points are just too precious to some.

Take caution in your tone. my winning percentage is up to 35%:couch:......That's right if this where Baseball I would be batting .350 (sounds more impressive that way)

That is true. Everyone is good with Sagat. And a lot of people are good with Zangief as well. But how many people are good with Dhalsim, E. Honda, Abel and Sakura? And it's not like I'm bad with the others. Those are just my top 6. And also, I don't play Ken. Ever.

I'm guilty of using Ryu from time to time. I never use Sagat. He's so good it just seems wrong. Of the others you listed I'm really only good with E. Honda. I'm getting better with Chun Li which has been a challenge.

hey Static... I CHALLENGE YOU. Here's the rules....

I pick Sagat. You pick the character you're the worse with. Being that you play it all the time, I'm confident that you still have a tactical advantage. But I'll deal with it.

You will beat me if i pick the charactor I am worse at, but I will do so. Though Dan is a pretty weak charator, any of the charge charators I haven't used much so there is more then one. :hi5:

I have been playing Bioshock (which I beat Yesterday) then i have been SF4.

I tried this game with an open mind having never played a Street Fighter game before, and was done with it by about half an hour. It isn't a bad game... it's just frustrating when the person you are playing with shamelessly beats you over and over again (cough, Stitches, cough). He is a champion button masher. I think I'll stick to Soul Caliber.

I am sorry you can't master quarter circle on the D-pad followed closely by a punch or kick. :tongue2:

Pratice is the best way to get better, get into some player matches. you can set it up to fight people at your skill or better, but it is better to pratice on real people then the computer. I would also get either a fightpad or stick (i bought the TE fightstick). i'm nothing special but i think this will help.

Here is a website that may help you also

    SRK

They have alot of stratagies and awnsers.

so can anyone explain how to do the moves where you have to "charge" the directional pad/stick in different directions?

Charge moves are always hold the first direction for ~2 secs and then press to the second direction with the button at the same time.

So for Guile's flash kick, hold down for ~2 secs, press up and kick at the same time.

I hope that's what you are asking.
