    I actually heard him on NFL Films before I heard any of his baseball work. Such a distinctive voice ... one of my all-time faves. He will definitely be missed.

    was most familiar with his voice from NFL films, too...

    though not a Phillies fan, i enjoyed hearing the joy in his voice calling the World Series last year when the Phillies won.
