Hmmmmm....Spiderman 3 left a bad taste in the mouths of many a venom fan, but done right it could be awesome. Let's just recast Eddie Brock with an adult sized dude this time, not some pencil necked geek.

I heard rumors back when the first Hulk was being filmed that he would play the big Greenie. Anyone but Topher Grace, come on.

I read the Venom comic books. If you need the guy to be big then he is lame.

Other than looking cool, what makes Venom, Venom?

Myself I found the Topher Grace version of Venom much more interesting than the weird evil not evil but evil thug that was in the comic books. Spider-Man 3's faults were more in not developing this Venom more and that stupid Sandman story line plus "Emo" Spider-Man.

I remember when Venom first came on the scene as Spidy's antagonist. Eddie Brock wasn't a small dude by any means. I never read the Venom comics, I guess they came out when I was older and no longer a comic reader, but I just remember that big thug looking guy kicking the crap out of Spider Man. The suit covered him, it didn't make him bigger.

I know, Eddie Brock was a weight lifting reporter for some reason.

So what is interesting about a big thug?

The Hulk is interesting because anger makes him stronger and bigger.

The Thing is interesting because he is a huge monstrosity and he doesn't want to be.

To me getting mad because Venom is small is getting mad because Spider-Man isn't freakishly ripped. Which Peter Parker is when he is going to college.

I'm not mad about it, I was just floored because the Brock I knew from when I was a kid....shrunk....considerably. Seemed really strange IMO.
