The Bronco's are announcing that they will trade Cutler. Looks like he's getting his wish. Although i'm content with Pennington and excited for Henne's potential, Cutler would be a huge upgrade. Will it happen? probably not in a million years, but i just thought i'd let you guys know he's available.

There's a good 15-18 teams out there that are interested in Cutler, the Broncos will get several picks or players or both for him.

Cutler going to any team not named Jets or Bills is fine with me.

One thing is for sure, he's not coming to the phins because someone WILL overpay, and that probably won't be Ireland.

No way Cutler comes to Miami. One, there is no way we cough up the compensation for him and TWO, the guy has an attitude that goes completely against our TEAM philosophy.

I wanted Miami to draft Cutler when he came out of college. But, Denver moved up to get him. Miami probably wouldn't have taken him anyway. I believe that would've been on Saban's watch.

Love his arm and his release. He reminds me an awful lot of another gunslinger that's near and dear to the hearts of Dolphins fans. ;)

But, with all that's gone down, and with Henne in fold, I just as soon pass. Besides, it's gonna be a pretty fierce bidding war for him IMO.

I just hope he doesn't end up in NY. Hate to have to face him twice a year.

um i'm pretty sure I don't want cutler here. at all. that said, i'd rather he not go to the jets either. while it'd be good that they give away a lot, i want them to struggle with kellen clemens

They said the same thing about Porter. who's to say he has that same attitude with this FO in charge?

But I agree on the first part. If given the choice though, for me, henne is gone for sure

Parcells doesn't want any Diva's on this team. That's what Cutler is. Keep Henne and Penny. JT is one example of Diva's getting exited.

My old man lives in Denver. He said that the popular thought there is that Cutler is a cry baby and that they are supporting the front office. Even though it is not likely, I kinda thought that Kansas City would be a good trading partner. Reunite a QB with a coach and leave Denver with someone they could work with. QB for QB and compensation of some sorts. Just a wierd thought.

I don't see us straying from our current QB stance other than a possible late pick getting rid of Beck and the pickup of an UDFA or a late round selection or on old man insurance policy.

As long as Cutler stays out of the AFC East, I dont care where he goes... and I think Denver is incredibly stupid to have let it get to this point where they have to trade this guy...

Denver is foolish in their handling of the Cutler situation. I guess this disproves the idea that Belichick castoffs are an immediate ticket for success?

I think he'll end up in Detroit or gag green. I wouldn't discount Cleveland either.

Screw that crybaby. Didn't he hear that NFL stands for No Freakin Loyalty. If staying in Denver was so important to him then why didn't he ask his agent to push for a no trade clause in the contract? I'm really beginning to wonder if Bus Cook is Drew Rousenhaus' alter ego.

Jets have a nice recent history when it comes to dealing with unhappy QB's who have James Bus Cook as their agent. A guy named Favre had/has the same agent.

C'mon Mr.Tannenbaum, land us the 10 year franchise QB.

Besides the recent spending on TO, I remember them being pretty cheap and making bad decisions in the past.

I don't know, maybe he doesn't go anywhere until the draft when the cards fall in place.

Bro, are you prepared to give up the farm for him? If Detroit is offering the number one, you guys will more than likely have to give up at least 2 first rounders.

I will give up our entire 2009 Draft for Jay Cutler AND our 2010 1st round pick.

I highly doubt Detroit will offer the 1st overall and I highly doubt Denver would want it. There is nobody worth taking 1st overall.

Then as soon as you trade for Cutler, Favre gets his panties in a wad and starts playing high school ball again and Goodell and Madden start swooning and your salary cap starts balloning.

In all truthfullness, if you guys do get him I'd kinda like it. Could set the stage for some real exciting games like back in the day when Marino and O'Brien use to air it out. We could see some really exciting deep ball plays, those were fun games to watch.

I think it could all be a conspriacy with James Bus Cook representing both Favre & Cutler.

Get Cutler to NY so the Jets HAVE to cut Favre and let him go to Minnesota.

    BOOM!

Well, Denver needs defense and Curry is there for the taking. If noone wants the #1, why would Detroit be reluctant to trade it away for a proven franchise QB? :wink2:

Denver may want a young QB in any trade and that would shift the leverage to Cleveland if they want Cutler. Just sayin'

I would say the Jets are the leader, but the Browns are a strong Dark horse if they will give the Bronco's Quinn (Weiss taught)

Which is why a couple of weeks ago when this first came out there was a lot of talk that the Jets, Broncos & Browns could very well work out a 3 team trade with the ending QB's being:

NYJ: Cutler, DEN: Quinn, CLE: Anderson

Mangini and the Jets brass hugged it out at the Owners Meetings, so thats always a good sign for something like that.

    Exactly.

If the Browns are out of it and its only the Jets, Lions and Bucs, the Jets are in the lead. The Lions may have the 1st overall pick, but nobody wants that in this years draft. The Jets also have the best two young QB's out of those three teams (Clemens and Ratliff, who NFL people seem to love, I have no idea why, just have heard that), compared to Luke McCown, Josh Johnson and Drew Stanton.

He's ahead of Favre and Cutler in one aspect, at least he's hurting himself during negotiations and not paying Cook to do it for him.

I don't doubt that the Jets will do everything in their power to get Cutler, but if the Lions are offering the #1, every other team will need to blow the Broncos away. I'm not sure NY can put together a package good enough to trump Detroit, if they are indeed interested and offering the #1. If Denver insists on getting a QB in return, then Cleveland wins the race.

I guess all Miami fans missed the part that Mangini and the Jets brass got together and everything is fine between them. Tannenbaum and Mangini are still friends. They were all hugging it out and having at a ball at the Owners Meetings and all that crap.

    But keep praying Mike.

Hey Cutler should be traded to Pittsburgh where they have the terrible towel, that way he would have plenty to cry into.

Heres a sleeper for ya. Eagles give McNabb and some picks. That would be crazy.

IMO the big thing that Denver keeps talking about is getting an NFL ready starter in return for Cutler, along with other players/picks. This is going to be very interesting.

The team that gets him is going to pay through the nose for him. I'd rather it not be us. I'm fine with the Jets or Bills being the ones mortgaging their future.
