You won't even find this guy listed on NFL Draft Scout and their mega database. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoxFwVxpwAM"]YouTube - Lonnie Harvey-Pro Workout[/ame] 6'3" and 345 pounds. Ran a 5.2 at his Pro Day, jumped 8'6" broad jump and 25" vertical. Actually he looked pretty good hoofing that 40 and his cone drill, not so hot on his shuttle or some of the other drills. The Eagles were the only team at his Pro Day. Has scheduled visits with the Panthers, Ravens, Colts and possibly the Patriots. He blocked a kick in 2007, had like 4.5 sacks and 64 tackles in 2007 and 2008 Combined. Also had an interception in 2008 he returned for 33 yards which I would pay to see a man as heavy as him run 33 yards with the ball in his hand, lol. It's slow, and I thought it was amusing, so I brought it up. Everyone loves to look for Nose Tackles.
It's always interesting when these guys try to make it and then one guy shows up to their Pro Day. Gotta be the harshest feeling sometimes but it ends up often putting them over the top. I get the feeling Roy Miller is probably asking himself a similar question as to why the heck did nobody come to see me the way I thought they would after I put 5.5 sacks. Doesn't anyone remember Casey Hampton? He's getting his due now, but NT is a tricky position. Sometimes the low round guys have the tools.
This is a under the radar guy to be sure , but he has some buzz ... seeing Miami has already made forays into Canada this off season , he bears watching . Vaughn Martin, DL, Western Ontario This is the out-of-nowhere mystery prospect. At 6-3, 331 pounds, Martin has all the measurables and much of the athleticism to get recognized, but he didn't win multiple accolades or get invited to some of the postseason showcase games or events. The one-time Michigan State recruit, who never set foot on campus and played in Canada, is so confident in his ability to land in the NFL that he left Western Ontario with eligibility remaining to declare for the draft. "I'm raw but I am extremely athletic" Martin said. "I am bigger than most of the guys already playing those positions (along the defensive line) and I'm tough. With me, you get a blank canvas to mold into whatever you want to mold me into." Martin recently held a workout in Windsor, Ontario, across the border from Detroit. A handful of teams attended. One scout who watched his film said Martin is athletic but doesn't dominate consistently. Still, he is an intriguing prospect. If he doesn't get drafted, Canadian rules allow prospects who declare early for the NFL draft to return. "I have no intention of doing that," Martin said.

I really like Loonie and think hes going to end up a 1st round pick next month and will end up being the best defensive player in the draft when its all said and done.
He moves pretty well for a big guy. I think there are a little over 300 NCAA football teams at the Division I level....and then you have all the small schools. Sometimes a guy will slip through the cracks and he could be working at the Mickey D's drive up window. But the days of finding a Jerry Rice at a tiny school (that nobody knows anything about) is pretty slim. They have tons more scouts these days. I wouldn't use a draft pick on most of these guys but I would invite them to camp as a free agent, like we did last year with Devone Bess out of Hawaii.
I would put Fast Fred Jackson in the same category. I personally think he is the best RB on the Bills roster...and he will obviously get more chances to prove himself. Anybody (Besides griddles) know where Coe University is... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Jackson_(American_football)
PFT is now picking up on Mr. Martin as well. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/30/mystery-defensive-lineman-gaining-notice/ [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koiYOwnpOTo"]YouTube - Charger's Scout Blown Up[/ame]
