For the first time in my Peter Pan existence, I am doing something grown up. I went and looked at a house tonight in Orlando (I am home on vacation) and then went and had dinner while filling out a contract. If all goes well, by this time tomorrow I will have a signed, accepted contract and closing in 30 days. Keep your fingers crossed, folks. This means I will have to pack up my existence in Baltimore and find a new job in Orlando. I'm happy, nervous, excited, and maybe a little hard. Tingly, at least. Wish me luck!
Well, if closing costs haven't been paid yet or put into the loan somehow, then bring more than you think you'll need. You absolutely must, on your first night, pee in your yard. There is nothing like peeing on your own land.
Where in Orlando? I live by UCF and my parents live in the Bay Hill/Dr. Phillips area. If you need help finding s certain store or need restuarant advice just ask bro!!! Congrats!
College Park-Orlando is actually my hometown, stupid me moved away because of a woman, and since she is no longer in the picture, I'm coming home.
Congrats!!!!! The peeing in the yard thing is a must. When I first bought my house I painted it Dolphin colors much to the neighbors chagrin. It's a great feeling to do whatever the heck you want.
Welcome to the 30 year sucker club, bro! I'll be down in Orlando in May on vacation. PM me your number when you get down ther and maybe we'll grab a beer.
You got it-you coming down to do the Disney thing? If so, maybe I could meet up with you for some Everest or Rock 'n Roller Coaster. And beer. And as for the 30 year thing-if this offer is accepted, I will not have a mortgage. Cash baby! So, just property taxes and insurance to worry about, along with utilities and improvements.
I got it! We agreed on a price-it's just a little more than I originally offered. Closing on April 21st, then setting my brother-in-law loose to completely renovate the bathroom before I move in on May 1st. Now I have to find a job and pack my stuff-I AM SO EXCITED!!!! Can't wait to pee in the yard!
