Ummm, we still need a CB.Sorry but, this article made me lmao. We still have some holes to fill and we have been pretty quiet lately.

When did Holliday ever voice displeasure? I must have missed that, all the videos I have seen he has spoken highly of the FO.

I like the addition of G.Wilson,Berger well depth is needed,Grove I feel we overpayed and should have signed Brown.Still waiting for us to sign a CB.

I also like the in home re-signings as well, Crowder,Carey,Bell.

Just my opinion, but wanted to rant abit.

All I can say to that is just be thankful we didn't get $150 million to Albert Haynesworth and DeAngelo Hall. Have faith in the front office that they're building this team the right way and that they have a plan. I know in years past that hasn't always been true in Miami, but now it is. And the results have already shown. And this is not an insult to you. But I'm sure that Parcells, Ireland and Sparano know more about this team than any of us do on thephins.com

Agreed....we have had a solid at best offseason IMO but there are still some major holes in the roster I think.

But with another solid draft he is right, this team is going to be good for a long time.

I agree with that. He was the FA player whom I wanted the most. I think his size would have been great and I think he really would have opened up some holes in the middle and helped the interior run game, which we really need, IMO. With that said, Groves was highly respected coming out in that draft. I remember a lot of us flirted with the idea of taking him then. I am willing to give Parcells & co. the benefit of the doubt on this one. They've definitely have earned that, IMO. I assume they have a bigger picture in mind.

Holliday said he was very surprised that the Dolphins released him. He made some comments about the NFL being "a business" and that it never changes. He went on to say there was no loyalty anymore.

Holliday made the comments after he was released just fyi. He wasnt especially bitter or scathing about it, but he did voice some displeasure.

As for our offseason, it is going very well. We resigned all our key FAs but Goodman, added Gibril Wilson to the secondary and Jake Grove to the OL, along with some depth. Add in Cam Wake as a wildcard and I think we made some good moves. Did we get every player we wanted? No. Do we still have some holes to fill? Yes. Does that mean our offseason was a failure? Absolutely not. All teams have concerns and holes. We still need to see how the rest of FA and the draft pans out, but so far Im happy with where we are.

Hey Style's, i think it depends on how other front offices had our own guys rated relative to their positions across the league.

i would have to say that crowder, carey and bell were highly rated at their respected positions across the league.

I didn't know that holliday said those things after he was fired.

For what it's worth if I was making the kind of money holliday has made in his career I would not be complaining.

I understand his bit on loyalty, though there's a bit of a financial plus in that he has more money than I'll probably ever make in my life.

A year ago we were just coming off of one of the worst seasons the Dolphins have ever had and most people acknowledged this was a rebuilding process at the time.
Sparano, Parcells and Ireland did some great work in turning the 1-15 season around to an 11-5 season but I think a lot of people have the illusion that we're just a couple of players away from a perrenial winning team. We still have a lot of holes to fill whether we want to admit that or not and it can't be done overnight.
IMHO the biggest job for this franchise is making a core of youthfull players through the draft and to be able to bring in quality players through the draft who can maintain that youthfull core year to year. This team had gotten into a terrible state because we couldn't bring in those young players and we were depending too much on free agents and trades to fill that core and it just didn't work.
A good indicator as to where we are will be through this draft and Ireland, Parcells and Sparano's ability to repeat the success of last year. We just can't count on the free agents we manage to scrape together to bring back the teams winning nature we once all enjoyed but that is JMO.
