word is that our new DC will be Paul Pascoloni (sp?) fom Dallas--no surprise tht he is from Dallas however! I'll also have the new O-line & RB coaches' names soon. Hope this isn't old news!
Heard about this is well these pieces will fall into place in about a week I feel if not sooner.. Imagine this, Last year we gave Dallas Jason Garrett. Our Entire Staff is almost all in place and Now Dallas has to replace their entire staff as well.. Jerry Jones and Wayne must not be on good terms of late Anything we can do to position ourselves to win the AFC-EAST im for!
Pasqueloni, huh. Well we'll have to see what happens with him. He can't be worse than Dom "What do you mean we can make adjustments" Capers right? We need a good d-line coach to be honest with you. some of the drop off for that unit had to be coaching.
More important to me is who our OC is going to be... I would hope Sparano is smart enough to not call his own plays.
Its not calling his own plays thats the bad thing, its developing an offensive game plan without an OC that killed Cam. Alot of HC coaches call their own plays, but they also have an OC to help them out. Im fine with Sparano calling his own plays, im not fine with him formulating an offensive game plan all by himself. I doubt parcells allows that to happen though (him formulating a game plan all by himself)
Strong push for Dan Henning @ OC & Bobby Jackson back at RB's coach. They are apparantly a "package deal"
Isn't this the guy that used to be the HC at Syracuse? I remember Saban tried to bring him on board and people were upset because he seemed like a poor choice. Has he improved that much at Dallas that he could end up our DC. Not real excited about this if he's the same guy.
great avatar Yeah, Im from the Cuse and coach P well... He did decent at SU while he was there except for his last year when we went 4-8 and the chancellor fired him. His best years were when DNabb was there and then after mcnabb left things seemed to go downhill. He may make a good DC, but I wouldnt want him as HC. Check this out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Pasqualoni
Great years with Marvin Graves at QB as well around 92-93. He always had teams in or hovering around the top 25. They've been nothing since he left.
Alot of the city wanted him fired after his second to last season because he was starting to go downhill, so SU canned him in 02 (I think it was) and hired Greg Robinson (texas DC) to restore SU football to what it was a couple years prior, now Greg Robinson =
Jerry loves Jason Garret, and TV reporters said Dallas coaches are worried about their jobs, after so many years without playoff win. that said at least three members in the coaching staff of the Cowboys will finish their contracts in a week or two. They're the front runners for the assistant roles, but Jones and Wade Phillips are in time to deal with them first, before any guy within our Dolphins. If they don't re-sign they'll be available for hiring, so I see no problem with the Boys' on this. Top of AFC-EAST is several light-years from us because of the astonishing difference of talent between Pats and the rest of the division. In order to aspire to lead this division, we must add stars to fill some very hard to find positions: a)NT, b)LT, c)QB, d)CB[2] & e)TE. That, and add some quality depth everywhere. So being realistic and understanding we won't cut guys like Porter, and we can't waste money on expensive free agents (we must hire several quality free agents, not using all our cap in few guys) this may take 3 seasons from now.
Thanks for the link, hope he pans out if he comes on board. Parcels know football players and hearing how Ireland can't watch a football game without judging players and not watching the game it self I like. Breaking down technique and watching the make up of players rather than the rest of the game is what we've been missing. Jury will be out on him as GM but his back ground and scouting ability seem like a nice change.
Syracuse has really struggled lately mainly due to their inability to keep players in Syracuse. They have also had a bunch of players who were supposed to come and fell thru. Colt Brennan was offered a scholly after the whole Colorado debacle but the day his paperwork arrived to him Greg Robinson had to call him and tell him the president wouldnt allow him to school there. Ray Rice and Sidney Rice were also supposed to go there. Ray Rice decided not to go after Paul got fired. I remember Joe Dailey was supposed to be the savior and he left them for Neb then left them for unc and became a wr. Well I could go on about how much Cuse has disappointed forever but I will leave this last bit on why Greg Robinson should be long gone. 8 tries at the goal line against Iowa and they couldnt get it in enuff said!!!!!
