Fair enough. I think when others make that statement there's the implication that someone with a stronger arm could manage our team better. And my thought is that he more than made up for any plays that might not have been in his repertoire with clutch throws, smart play, and veteran leadership. I don't think there are many QBs in this league who would have done better for our team than Chad Pennington did. And Chad Henne is not one of them, IMO. Not yet anyway...
Pennington played at PRO BOWL level for us. How hard and how important is that? There's no competition in my mind, at least for this upcoming season. No matter how good Henne displays at TC,, real games are different, and unless Pennington's arm can't take it or his play declines, he's the leader of this team.
