Bought a ticket to see Mr. Springsteen in Atlanta in April. Haven't seen him since 85'. I am psyched!! Only a 5 1/2 hour drive to the show
Just make sure the highway isn't jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive.... Have a blast, man!
Just bought the ticket for his gig in Frankfurt, Germany. Seen him two years ago, had a blast. Easily the best live performance I've ever seen ... if it wasn't for a brilliant REM concert back in the days.
I was planning to see him and the band in May, but Ticketmaster screwed me, and a lot of people over. There was a big controversy about it that Bruce himself got involved with. Something about them charging much more than they were supposed to as the site kept having problems with logging in. I couldn't get through. I did see him last summer at Giants Stadium and he was incredible. So much energy and passion. He played for about 4 hours, and hell, Jungleland was worth the price of admission alone. Have a blast!
Hope you have a ball. I've never seen him in person, but I've always loved his music. I get to go to the Fox in Atlanta June 20th to see the broadway play "The Jersey Boys". It's the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Season. I have always loved those guys. I've seen them in person a number of times and they always put on a good show. This will be my first broadway play. My daughter is taking me. I can't wait. I love to hear when any one gets to see some one they like in person.
I've seen Bruce 3 times: 1. New Orleans - Ghost of Tom Joad tour. Just Bruce an an acoustic guitar. It was great, but I wasn't a big fan yet. 2. Giants Stadium - The Rising tour - Phemominal rock-a-thon with the E Street Band. 3. New Orleans Jazzfest - He played with the Seeger Sessions band 2 years after Katrina. The themes of the dustbowl songs made perfect sense in a broken city where people's homes were "blown away." Everyone was going nuts. People crying and dancing at the same time. It was a truly special performance. Bruce is the man.
I hope you have a great time. I only have a little over 2 mths before I get to go see Jersey Boys in Atlanta at the Fox and I'm already excited.
