Will they ever be satisfied?

Well we had Nick Saban who was a guy who got on players cases and yelled at them in practice etc. and the veterans complained about it. Then we had Cam and he was apparently too soft because he didn't get on people like he should have. Well what exactly do the veteran players want? They complain regardless of what type of personality the coach has. If we get a Parcells type coach then it'll be a guy who screams at the players. Are they going to have a fit again?

Until we get a coach (and personelle) that generates wins no one will be satisfied. Winning cures all ills.

When they stop playing for coaches that

    A. Can't adjust from the college game
    B. Is unable to lead men

It really won't be that hard.

Which is why a WIN can be the biggest bandaid when surgery is really required, and sadly, a LOSS can cause the biggest amputation when only anitboitics are required.

History shows that the string of Victories at the end of Saban's 1st season produced a false sense of where we stood and we were sucked into a quick fix mentality when this franchise would have been better served with additional caution and singular focus on the true process.

Similarily, I think these 15 losses do not accurately reflect the missing pieces and how close we may really be to creating the consistent positive results we long for. I think personally, Parcells sees the light at the end of the tunnel, I just find it hard to believe that folks like him take on a true GARBAGE pile in the hope of making only fertilizer out of it. Rather, I believe inside the 1-15 smell is some real treasurers that others just fail to see, or couldnt see, or worse didnt know they even possessed and simply tossed it out or passed on it thinking it was no different than the 4 week old Chinese food, or skins of the bannana, etc.

As a fan, I find it most frustrating when the false leaders are raised upon the shoulders simply because of the scoreboard being positively viewed, or worse, the community is storming the gates with pitchforks caused by only a negative view toward the same scoreboard. I realize most fans only care about the outcome, and not the cause, but as a former player in my sports of choice I never understood that. I always knew what the process was and the fact that the outcome was often long decided during the practice sessions, and the on field outcome was directly related back to that. In reality its why film sessions are so important, and practice is so important. You use what you see, and what you try to solve, before the game begins. The fact is often the mistakes made in practice, if not corrected and understood are the mistakes made in the actual game. Its also, why what works in practice is often the most comfortable play call and best executed call come game time.

I long for the days when the members of the Miami Dolphins were assembled into a team and we had a focus and process in place to evaluate the performance and what truly caused the result and not worried simply about the result itself. A process that lasts well beyond one season, and turns into a decade of results. We lost that somewhere, and like a true treasure, we now realize how hard it is to find again.

I suspect I am in the minority.

I think, that if we have a coach who is tough, but at the same time, gets results, they'll be happy. Of If we have soft coach who gets results. It's all about results.

Professional athenletes, regardless of rookie or vetran status, are giant children. They have been coddled and protected since the pee-wees and have always had someone protecting them. Give them a few million and the petulant child becomes intolerable. Did I answer your question?

I'm with you,BDH. We could just be a little off the mark of having a good team, with just the right additions/changes, without "blowing the whole thing up". Let's hope we have the right people in charge that can fix what's wrong and not mess with what's right, and can tell the difference!
