Ib hear you RDH...I was just telling you what I heard from ESPN radio. I'm constantly looking around for some confirmation. I would think ESPN radio guys can not make things up without a good source.

As for Coles going to Buffalo. That story originally came from buffalo. They wanted to meet with those 4 players on Friday. No one from Coles camp said he WAS going there for a visit.

Odd how this is reported on espn radio, but not espn.com.

    I'm finding no valid confirmation.

It would be silly for anyone not to like this signing IMO. WR is the one position everyone can agree that is seriously lacking depth. Now you sign a guy who is very familiar with Chad (not to mention he always KILLS us). Good stuff.

EDIT: When and if it becomes official, of course.

He had 850 yards last year.

He had 646 the year before.

He has had 1 1,000 yard season in his last 5 years.

Camarillo had 610 yards before he went down after 10 games.

    Bess had 550 yards.

Coles averaged 12 yards per catch, Camarillo averaged 11.

    Coles is 31.

I do not love this signing.

Not that I'm arguing the signing, but I think we have decent depth at receiver, especially if we draft one.

Neither love it or hate it. I'm a bit lukewarm about it. Coles production hasn't been mind boggling - not a helluvalot better than anyone we have now except a few more TDs. He's not a great YAC guy and he's not a big red zone target. So, I question how big a help he will be to us other than the chemistry between him and Chad.

Define decent. The playoff game against Baltimore was embarassing. How many receivers did we dress in that game? Three?

Then Bess went down for a little while leaving us with two.

Good argument. Alls I know is that, with my own two eyes, I've seen Miami get KILLED by Coles. Maybe he is done, but I doubt it.

even tho we went 11-5, yes we are still rebuilding. And no we are not a few players away from being a consistant contender. but thats just my opinion.

Ginn, Cammarillo, and Bess are all players that are developing nicely. If we draft a receiver that gives us four (hopefully) solid players with a nice project who's shown some potential in London.

then why would be be re-signing our current players and just trying to add a few to mix in and make our team solid? dont trust our FO ? obviously they think we are a few players away....or else we wouldnt be keeping these guys

I think people underestimate the use of a veteran receiver as a mentor on the field and in the locker room. Who do our young guys have right now? Camarillo and Ginn are our most experienced WR.

I still think we will add another receiver in the draft, whether or not we sign Coles. I personally see nothing wrong with the signing if it is in fact true (given we didn't over pay).

because we just cant cut everybody every year and have success. Y. Bell and C. Crowder are good players, but not game changers. Don't forget that last year we pretty much gutted the roster. You dont go 1-15, cut your star veteran players, and faces of the franchise (Zach, Taylor). Draft a LT with the first pick in the draft and bring in an entirely new coaching staff, If you arent rebuilding. Yes, we had a great year last year, but IMO we still have holes to fill. Can we be competitive with these guys? Sure. But the Baltimore playoff game made it clear that we still need work. And in my opinion, bringing in a WR passed his prime, with a chronic toe injury, who suffers from concussions and is a known lockerroom cancer, is not the answer. whether we are rebuilding or not. But again thats just my opinion and I guess we can agree to disagree on it.:wink2:

Not sure who his source is, but Harvey Fialkov says Coles in in Miami.

EDIT: Rotoworld is reporting he's in Buffalo at the same time. Something is fishy here.

We were trying to sign Pace last year too in our first year of rebuilding, so I don't think adding Wilson and resigning our players means that the FO thinks we are thisclose to legit contenders. Ireland (or Sparano) said that we are going to follow the same plan this year that we had last year, to me that means we'll be adding one or two quality FA's and continuing to build through the draft. I think our record last year had alot to do with the easy schedule, we may not equal 11 wins next year, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Short answer, if you're a smart NFL team, you are never done rebuilding.

So the rebuilding is done after one year? Because last year we were the definition of "rebuilding". And i dont think we are done.. and i dont think BP and Co. think so either.
