So... My girlfriend and her friends came up with this idea (I know, I know... recipe for disaster). To have all the girls (three of them) and their boyfriends go on a "couples" trip.

I get along with the other boyfriends and girls also. Everyone is pretty damn cool, so I actually got pretty excited. The girls all want to go to the Bahamas, so I start looking.

I found this resort called Breezes.

It's very decent prices. at $700 per person, we get plane tickets from Fort Lauderdale and 4 days in this place. It's all inclusive. Food, drinks (including liquors), and all events are included in the price. It seems almost too good to be true. They even pick us up in a shuttle from the airport.

So, my question is: Has anyone ever done an all inclusive trip? Even better... Has anyone stayed at any of the Breezes resorts? How'd you like it?

We're looking at an early June trip.

All I can tell you is "ALl Inclusive":thumbup::thumbup:

I dont know about the Bahamas..but ON Jamaica there are 3 (I think its 3) Breezes, and no matter which one you stay at, you can go party at any if you are in the "All Inclusive" party.

Also, food-Eat what you want, try new things dont worry about it cause its "All Inclusive"
Drink-Watch out, cause they wont even try to cut you off...

Go- Enjoy. $700 a head is cheap..

My wife and I had an All-Inclusive honeymoon to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico back in '06. It's pretty sweet to drink as much beer and pina coladas as you want without having to pull out your wallet.

Food was good as was the entertainment. It's a great deal man. Go for it

My fiancee and I have a wedding/honeymoon coming up in Cancun end of this month. All inclusive, oh yeah!!
The great thing with these big resorts (we are going with the Palace resorts in cancun) is that they have some huge selections and variations. The one im going to has several different world class restaurants with several food styles (Mexican, asian, european etc). 24/7 room service, and all the little perks.
And its soooo nice not having to worry about taking money/cards everywhere, tracking how much your spending to eat and all that. Worry free living.

    Have fun!!

Never been at a Breeze resort, but I'll say this: be warned. Once you do an all inclusive you'll never want to do a vacation without it ever again. It's just way too damn convenient. Being able to get food and beer at any time of day without having to hunt for it just gives you that much more time to do whatever.

I've been to a few Breeze resorts on other islands and had always had great time. I'd definitely do that if I were you. Like you said, free food (they usually have about 4 or 5 different restaurants there so you can have different types of food each night) and drinks you can never go wrong with that. The only negative thing is that I found there wasn't a lot to do at night besides hang out at a bar there and drink, but hey it's free still.

If you like to gamble, they have good casinos. Was there last year and I think I left more at the blackjack tables than what the trip was worth

I have actually done this trip. First off, the Bahamas are great. Friendly people, almost all Dolphins fans and an amazing array of restaurants. The only thing is, I am almost convinced that you guys (and girls) will want to hit the HUMONGUS Atlantis resort. To do so, will take all day. Which means it pretty much cancels out part of your all inclusive trip.

They also have a nice Senior Frogs downtown. Be careful of the rum though. It may lead to this...

Notice the awesome mid calf socks with loafers look I am sporting.

The only downside to ALL-INCLUSIVE tropical resort deals is if someone in the party is allergic to a certain food (seafood being the biggest downer) or a picky eater, etc. But if no one has food issues than its most definately the best way to go.

Mixed drinks can be less liquor then you may be used to when you make your own, but a beer is a beer, same with wine, etc. And if you have enough mixed umbrella type tropical favorites you will more than make up for it with volume.

Enjoy, and as always, post the pics following the trip.

Thats a good point. I almost forgot about that. We went on a trip like that once and it was 99% seafood and if we got lucky it was pasta. I hate seafood, but one of the girls was allergic to it. Ever since, we've been going to places that MUST have some type of 24/7 snack bar.

The pizza, fries, hot dogs, etc are your best friend when you get sick of local food :)

LOL...yeah, the worst is when its pizza night and it turns out to be tropical style with seafood mixed in under the cheese (St. Lucia).

So, again, if no one has any food concerns then rock and roll, otherwise, it is wise to confirm a plan B for food when locked into the all inclusive method.

Omg, that is EXACTLY where I was talking about. Funny, everyone I talk to that hates seafood has bad experience with that place. I think of all the Carribean trips that was the worst one. Did you guys have to travel like 4 hours on the bus to get to your resort? When we booked it didn't look like a long ride at all on the map, but man that terrain is brutal. All mountains and windy roads.

Yeah, like one inch to spare before you fly over the edge - as the driver doing well over the limit turns his head back toward us all to give sightseeing tips - as on coming traffic and curves keep us all focused strickly facing front to know exactly the moment of our pending death.

    Loved the resort itself.....

Hahahaha, I remember that. All laughs now, but that sure as hell wasn't fun, especially when you got the window seat. Good times indeed.
