First off and for the record I believe the defense needs help more than the offense, however you have to take what the offseason will bring you and I see this offseason as the year of veteran offensive free agents and defensive drafting. With this thought process in mind I bring you our offseason moves.

free agents in order of who we should chase (this is taking into consideration out $25 million in cap and those that will most likely be franchised aka jarred allen and haynesworth)

    1)alan faneca
    2)flozell adams
    2)marcus trufant
    3)bryant johnson
    4)jeff feagles

if we can pull the first 2 it leaves us with a line of adams, faneca, satele, shelton, carey. that is a powerful line. and at $25 million in cap room that is not a madden move for you 12 year olds that might claim it to be.

as for the draft, its mostly all defense if we get the first 2. we have the qb of the future i believe (who can now have time to make decisions because he isn't getting pressured as soon as the ball is snapped), an elite back if he makes it back 100%, decent TEs (needs an upgrade, but not coming this year), and a WR core that will either get bryant johnson or will be one of our few offensive draft picks.

as for the draft it will go
    1) Glenn Dorsey
2a) Dan Connor (yes many draft have him slipping to here, at least until the combine when he goes back into the first)
2b)DJ Hall (if we miss on bryant j)
    3) Erin Henderson

this offseason would equate to 3 mega potential defenseman, one of the most powerful o-lines in the league, an upgrade at secondary (can't have everything in one offseason), and a much needed weapon at WR. This would be an incredible offseason in my books.

Trufant will get Nate Clements money. around an 8 year , 80 million salary. So that takes out 10 mil of our 25 million cap. Faneca wont be cheap and neither will Adams. We are rebuilding not re tooling. Keep the FA's to a minimum and young. We need a vetran WR and a true NT. build through the draft.

    Bryant Johnson

When Faneca walks, I'm almost certain he winds up in Arizona with Whisenhunt and Grimm. Part of what really alienated Faneca with the organization was the way they handled the coaching search last year, specifically with the flubbed hiring of Grimm and the surrounding incident where he was given the job then had it taken away.

Sopoga and Johnson, I'm huge on the idea of Miami signing them.

Trufant will get huge money. Adams is possible.

I just don't see taking Dorsey at 1...once again, why take a player at 1 and then playing at a position that is not his best? Dorsey's NOT a NT....his best position is DT in a 4-3 defence and we're gonna play a 3-4 defence...we're taking Chris Long if we stay at 1 or we'll move down and take a player that will fit what we're going to do.If we take Dorsey at 1 then we're not going with the 3-4 defence that Parcells likes.

    Ozzy rules!!
