Miami Dolphins: Is Ted Ginn Jr. a bust?
After two seasons, he’s only eclipsed 100 receiving yards in a game once – the 175 against Buffalo in Week 8 this past season. He’s been inconsistent at best as a wideout, and hasn’t even come close to being the dangerous returner he was at Ohio State. It’s a tad early to slap him with the bust tag, but he certainly hasn’t lived up to the No. 9 overall pick of the ’07 NFL draft. The thing that has frustrated the Dolphins the most is his lack of dedication when it comes to getting stronger and tougher and taking on challenges at the line of scrimmage. That said, there is a ray of sunshine: Ginn’s career start is only slightly behind that of Pittsburgh’s Santonio Holmes – another Buckeyes product who even as recent as this season was criticized in pro personnel circles as a guy who wasn’t connecting the dots between preparation and performance. Ginn still has time for the light to come on, and this could be the offseason that it happens.

I don't think you blame the player you blame the spot where he was drafted which has nothing to do with this regime.

I decided to investigate what this report claims, so I compared Holmes first two seasons against Ginn's. In all honesty its a bit of stretch to say Ginn is slightly behind Holmes.

    S.Holmes 2006-2007
29 Games 101 catches for 1766 yards averaging 17.4 yards per catch scoring 10 Tds

    Ted Ginn Jr. 2007-2008
32 Games 90 Catches for 1210 Yards averaging 13.2 yards per catch scoring 4 tds.

I would say though that Ted Ginn did improve dramatically in year two, but these are not the numbers a number 1 receiver should have especially if you are drafted the 9th over all pick in the draft.
    Ginn 07
16 games 34 Catches for 420 yards averaging 12.4 yards per catch scoring 2 tds
    Ginn 08
16 Games 56 catches for 790 yards averaging 14.1 yards per catch scoring 2 tds
    But,,,,undrafted receiver Devon Bess
    2008 Bess
Unsure how many games but 54 catches for 454 yards averaging 10.3 yards per catch 1 td.
I believe these stats are showing that Ginn stats are more comparable to a guy who wasn't even drafted into the Nfl.

I actually clicked the link to read the entire article.
Is it just me, or was that just a cursory attempt at journalism?
I think any one of my kids could have written that article.

as to Ginn, .....I think anlgp makes a good point. In any event, this was his 2nd year and his 2nd NFL HC. I think you've got to withhold judgment for now.

I think that article should be printed off and taped inside his locker.

i think he knows he has been a disapointment....

and considering the money he makes and the spot he was drafted....he shouldnt need anymore motivation to play good...

he does need to get his **** together....one 100 yard game is a joke
