Anyone catch Beckham and his 2 beautiful assists on Sunday? Awesome!

And he almost had a 3rd but it was called back for offsides on Pato.

Nice. Even if the Galaxy don't let him out right now, I believe he has an opt-out clause in October.

Galliani really wants him to stay, according to the "Gazzetta" the AC Milan is ready to negotiate with the Galaxy to keep Beckham.
Beckham did work very hard and hes playing well.....and the fans like him, all depends how much the Galaxy wants to let him go.

Its a possibility. Abramobich has some DEEP connections in Russia, so his friends upstairs + some serious cash (if abramobich wants him that is) it is always a possibility.

Put it this way. If Abramovich wants him, he will get him. Matter of how bad he wants him. Now, I exaggerate things, but I promise, that man gets what he wants.

    Let's go USA!!!!!! Starts shortly!!!!

No Adu makes me sad because I really like to see him and Altidore together. We really need to start giving these younger guys the international experience they need to prep for the 2010 WC. AT this point, Landon really needs to be relegated to the bench or possibly be brought back to CM. I'm tired of seeing the same failing players over and over; it's time for the youth movement dammit!!!!

    USA 2 - 0 Mexico

Expected since the game was in the US, but it was a good game. Mexico keeps looking worse and worse with each coaching change. I really thought Eriksson would have had a bigger influence on the group, but I've been wrong so far.

I don't think is his fault to be honest. The D seems to be waay more organized and structured that it had been for years before this (especially under Hugo). This game was terrible luck really... The Nery injury pretty much doomed the gameplan. Also, not making excuses but Vela was out due to a yellow card, Guardado (who would have been utterly important given his speed and ability to make plays happen) was injured, Rafa was just returning from an injury.

I think a couple things need to happen... Nery needs to get more playing time at Shaktar (damn do I hate he made that move, that kid stays in Olympiakos and we are fine), Osvaldo has to be benched, Guardado has to come back from injury.

For now they are holding Sven as the coach until the Costa Rica game if he looses against Costa Rica, then he will go the way of the Ojitos Meza. I think he will turn it around

I think you are right, but according to Galliani he feels that the possibility of keeping Beckham still open......what I believe is that Galliani wants to wait to see if The ACMilan can qualify for the Champions until really deciding to pay the Galaxy and tomorrow game vs Inter is very important in terms of making that decision.

Is it me or does this guy seems like he doesn't want to play for México anymore?
I'm a fan of Márquez, he's México's best defender but getting reds and yellows over and over it's frustrating. We need him but we need him to not get reds or he's useless.

I know Gio, thinking that Maldini will retire after this season make me sad, he did give so much to the Milan and to the Azzurri.
Maldini always will be remember to be one of the best in he's position and what makes this even more special is that he's a product of the Milan system since he was 13 years old.
So many great players in the last 20 years are coming out from the Milan system, Baresi, Collovati, Maldera, Evani, Anquilletti, Tassotti......and much more!

I did saw the game also, the Milan did played much better with more opportunities, the fact that Nesta and Kaka were not playing made a big difference, also Pirlo is not at 100% yet.
......but the crazy thing was the Adriano goal, WITH he's right ARM LOL,and on the top of it the ref took away a score by Inzaghi for offside.....not sure about that call.

    ... don't forget Gattuso bro.

Milan played a very solid game but Julio Cesar was great, Inter chances were way more dangerous than ours because Kaladze was playing garbage. He cost us the game IMO. Maldini was slow yeah, but hey,... he's 40!! :wink2:

Abbiati, outstanding, I agree Pirlo is not at 100%, he looked lost, not only in this Derby but also in his recent performances (see Robinho's goal, Italy-Brazil friendly match) and Pato was getting killed by 2 or 3 Inter defenders.

They showed the replay and Pippo was offside, but the ref didn't call a penalty when Chivu pulled him. So sad to see Maldini go out with a loss in his last Derby

You are right Pippo was offside, but was a penalty was negated.
I think Milan did play better and Pato was outstanding, I did forget to mention Gattuso and Sheva.
I thought we had chances to win the game.
The good news is that Ancellotti will stay with Milan.....at list I hope.

I certainly think Milan were the better team yesterday. Very unlucky.

    Some things I observed:

    - Kaladze is done playing for a big club. He was pretty good a few years ago. Now he's done

    - It's time for Maldini to hang em up. One of the best soccer players ever, no doubt. But it's time.

    - Pato is already one of the worlds most dangerous players. Future Ballon D'Or winner. Bank on that!

    - Ronaldinho can still play. And one on one, there's no one better.

    - Milan's aging back 4 lost them this game. Inter would send those long balls to that back 4 (bypassing the midfield) and look for those header flick-ons by the more physical Adriano and Ibrahimovic. This led to the goals and all of Inter's quality chances.

    - Zambrotta's not the player he used to be. Hasn't been the same since he left Juve.

    - Just about every team in the world could use a guy like Ambrosini

    - Had Inzaghi's volley not been called offside it would've been one of the best goals in the Serie A this year. Pato's pass and that Volley! Incredible!

    - Pirlo needs a physical striker up front to play to his full potential. Pato isn't that type of player. That's why he succeeded with Italy and Toni and Milan and Inzaghi/Sheva. With Pato as the lone striker he struggles. Those long balls don't suit Pato the same.

    - I hate Inter more than ever! They're just not a likeable team. I can't explain it, but I'm not sure many will debate that.

Good observations, have to agree with all of them.

    - Milan's back four cost them more than just this game this year.

    - Wishing Zambrotta returned to Juve form. Been one of my fav players for a long time, I'm just happy to have him. He's still great at 80%.

    - Milan's big threat will come in Adabeyor this off season. Should compliment Pato well. I'm hoping for Drogba to honest with you.

    - Pirlo's long ball is a thing of beauty. I just hated seeing it used way too often in the Euro cup. Italy needs a playmaker to step up and compliment Pirlo. He can't do it all back there. Hoping for Aquilani to step up. We need a threat there, and Aquilani's rocket shot should ease the pressure on the strikers.

    - I HATE INTER and their what, 2 Italians on the squad. Pffft. HATE THEM.

I'm still upset about the game. I feel the same hate about Inter that I feel about the Patriots....I'm dead serious, I can't stand that team, from Moratti to that D>ck face of Mou.
In reference to how many Italians are playing for them (inter), yesterday no one played.
Pato is awesome, but is to isolated in front, Sheva can't play no more, Inzaghi still incredible and Boriello and Kaka are not ready yet.
In a different note, today Nesta will have back surgery in Milan, the doctor said that he will be ok, but the recovery is going to be pretty long.....
