The pats for whatever reason do not have an eye for Wr talent in the Draft. Maroney had a ACL, we went through that with Ronnie this year, it takes time to recover from one. Though Ronnie looked the best I've seen him at the pro bowl, he looked back to his 07 form in the quickness department. Grossman turn the ball over too much, Leftwich at one time did not commit Turnovers but as the injuries mounted he started to give the ball up. IIRC Boller's problem was V-a-n-i-l-l-a he was sort of just a dude playing Qb, didn't make many throws, didn't try to make plays in 07. He could be your guy for this year, DC/Head Coaches demand ball security even over play making ability.
You're right in saying New England hasn't had success in the draft at WR in recent years, but that doesn't mean they can't find one eventually. Even a blind squirrel will find a nut once in a while. I don't see Moss wearing down for another two seasons thanks to his vacation time he spent in Oakland doing absolutely nothing. He stays in shape when he wants too and as long as NE is winning double digit games a year, he will stay in tip top shape. Not only do the Patriots have Maroney they have Sammy Morris and Green-Ellis, I think they are more than set at the Running Back position. If we end up with Leftwich, Grossman or Boller as our starting QB in 2009 then you can officially write Kellen Clemens off as a major bust.
Brett Ratliff? The Practice Squad / Preseason 4th quarter, hero? Any Jet fan who has hope in him loses my respect automatically.
