Good move on Gholston's part, and great move on Jenkins part. Despite being an OSU fan, Jenkins' play really tailed off at the end of the year, better move for him to stay and be a top CB coming out next year. Love Gholston, and would love to have him wearing that #50 in aqua and orange.

If we draft Gholston I'm buying his jersey along with Ginn.

    :D

I love the reasoning Jenkins gave for staying.

What was his exact reason? I've been away most of the day and just caught that he was staying on the ESPN bottomline at dinner.

Jenkins, who had 47 tackles and four interceptions, said winning the Jim Thorpe Award is one of his goals next season. The award is given annually to the nation's top defensive back.

"What's important to me is accomplishing more. I want to win the Thorpe. I want to be a first-team All-American," Jenkins said. "I want to win a national championship. I want to experience a senior season. You can't put a price tag on that. To be paid to play football is just a benefit. I'm not ready to transition to the next stage of my life yet."

yeah lets just draft ohio state players so we can get to the super bowl and lose... sorry they have choked. If not for a shady call vs the canes a few years back they'd be the buffalo bills of college.

Smart move for Jenkins. It's a CB-heavy draft and if he declared was looking at 2nd/3rd round.

He may even have a better shot to play S in the NFL given his size - he already has done so at OSU this year, and I think it'll be even better next year if he does again.

Maybe if he had a good combine, his play really tailed off at the end of the year starting w/the game vs. Wisconsin. Some people have even mentioned he'd be better served as a FS in the pros given his frame...he might have been the #1 CB this year, but he had some flaws in his game.

He was a top 15 prospect... He was probably going to be drafted by the Saints.

It's not as if a team in the top 15 next year won't need a corner. And at least next year, he'll be the undisputed #1 CB in the draft.

True unless he has a awful year but I doubt that.
