Hmmm. If Jericho isn't gonna wrestle Rourke. Then they should have him go up against Misterio I think. There is a lot of history there and I think the can build a pretty good storyline around Jerciho's smugness. Have him cut promos on Rey about how Rey has always wanted to be like him. How Rey followe dhim to ECW, WCW and the WWE. How Rey has tried to emulate Jericho's career, win the same titles Chris has won, do the things that he has accomplished, etc.

But in the end, Chris is just better. He has won more titles, gets paid more money and has headlined more shows. And on top of all of that, Chris doesn't cowtow to these fans. He doesn't sell himself out to hear the applause from a bunch of hypocrites and nayer do wellers. In essence, Chris Jericho has done what he has done in this business, and without sacrificing his intregity.

The fans hate Chris, Rey hates Chris and you have a nice grudge match going into Wrestlemania that pits two former world champs against each other in what should be a great match. Hell, make it a number one contender's match for the world title or something to add more interest.

    I think it could work.

that match would steal the show at WM 25... i am not a huge fan of Rey's, mostly since he has been up against big guys almost exclusively for the last several years. but against a smaller guy like Jericho? that i am up for.

Personally I like the way Rey is with the fans, especially the kids. Getting back to the Announcing team thing last night on TNA, I laughed my a$$ off when Scotty and Nash were doing it, Booker killed it. I dont know who he was trying to be , but he was just annoying as hell.

Putting him in Money in the Bank wouldn't be bad idea. Thing is, he has to be booked to win.

I would love to see that happen.

WIth that, a perfectly well handled Hardy vs Hardy feud, WM25 can turn out pretty good.

just watched Raw on tivo. thought the ending went ok, til Shane hit the ring.

the staredown as he came down the aisle was pretty intesne, him jumping on Orton was ok, though predictable, but his offense consisted of the weakest looking punches i have ever seen n a wrestling ring! his sister slapped Orton harder last week.

i give Orton credit for trying to sell it, but dang it was just sad looking.

I don't know Jericho and Mysterio wrestled each other a few times and never really had a good match together for whatever reason (same with Jericho and Flair). I do agree a Jericho/Mysterio feud would be something new but Jericho should go over.

I still think a Jericho/Triple H match, if booked right could be very good.

No I want Jericho wrestling a one on one match at WM. If he's in the MitB match, he'll get lost in the action because he won't be the one that takes that huge bump that everyone will remember, even if he wins the match it won't be as meaningful as a singles win. Plus I'm sick of the whole MitB match anyway.

Mike Mooneyham, columnist in my hometown paper, says that Ric Flair will induct Ricky Steamboat into the HoF at Wrestlemania, and not Stone Cold as widely speculated. guess that leaves good ole JR to induct the Rattlesnake.

  10. Samphin

I wouldn't be surprised if its McMahon.

Its funny because the guy who pretty much singlehandedly turned that company around seemingly has no real close friends to induct him. Perhaps an example of living the gimmick, but I find it quite funny.

I imagine that if Foley hadn't gone to TNA, that he would have inducted Austin, and it would have made sense, but thats out the window.

Might as well have HBK do it. He won his first world title from him and they are both from Texas...why not?

Vince McMahon is the only fitting person I see inducting Stone Cold, JR would be a distant second followed by The Rock.

They are, but I get the feeling that they want to try and have someone other than him do it. For whatever reason. Probably just me speculating.

i hear they are hoping to have Austin have his fairwell match at WM 25 and if its true, why not have him face Vince.

I would seem that that is highly doubt full. Not only would it be a terrible match now that Austin can't take any bumps and McMahon is close to 70 but McMahon is now seemingly a face after Orton kicked him and having him come back and set up an angle where he faces Austin would be very rushed and hurt the Orton angle.

  16. Samphin

If it wasn't a lock for Orton to face Cena, I think you could do a wonderful tip of the cap to Orton's old persona (Legend Killer) and Austin's farewell match.

Orton would have to win of course, but Austin could give a hard fought battle (most likely one of his infamous brawls) and end up losing by a slim margin.

Afterwards, Orton could be smug, Austin is ticked off, but offers a hand of respect. Orton is hesitant, but eventually takes it. Austin raises his hand, calls for beers and gets a few tossed into the ring. Austin pops the top and then KICKWHAMSTUNNER! to Orton, takes Orton's beer, drinks it, spits it all over Orton, does the top rope flip off thingy, drinks some more, and walks out to a nice ovation.

Orton would save face by saying how he won the match and officially retired Austin.

Which could actually lead to a nice tie in fued between Orton and HBK...

WWE is running into a big problem here with this Orton/Cena match. They're booking Orton into an unstoppable force, while Cena has a history of choking in big matches. Therefore if you have Orton win (which he actually should at this WM instead of last year) Cena will look like a choker. And if Orton loses than the fans won't buy him as a threat to the title anymore (although I'm not sure how many do buy him as it is).

Also it looks like Jericho is going to fight Flair at WM in a 'The Wrestler' type gimmick angle. With that being said it totally pisses away Flair's final match at last years WM and Jericho should absolutely go over against Flair (which we all know he won't).

I seriously think/hope that Cena beats Orton at WM and Legacy moves over to Smackdown, while Jericho forms a stable with John Morrison, The Miz, Matt Hardy and Christian at RAW. You could also bring Triple H and Jeff Hardy to RAW to join Cena, HBK, and Rey Mysterio as the top faces. Also sending Kane, JBL and CM Punk to Smackdown.

  18. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Its been said, ad naseum, but I am going to pile on once more, would it hurt John Cena THAT much to lose once in a while? I mean honestly. I grew up in this business, did it for a few years and continue to pay pretty close attention to it to this day. So I like to consider myself pretty educated on the industry as a whole.

At this point, I am starting to believe that Jericho could never beat Cena clean. That is how much they have damaged Jericho. Notice how I didn't say built up Cena. Because they haven't done that. Instead, they have torn down Jericho's credibility with little to no net gain on Cena's end really.

I thought the match was good, but would it have killed them to have Jericho win a non title match? Crap, have Jericho win one here, then win a tag match where he pins Cena clean as well. Maybe throw in another clean, non title match victory and start making people THINK that Cena could lose the title.

As it stands right now, everyone knows he won't. They have conditioned the fans to expect Superman each and every time, and then they give them just that. Its asinine. Give Jericho (or another credible heel) a few clean wins, let the doubt fester in the minds of the fans, and pay it off with a PPV title match. Honestly, how hard is that? I am okay with Cena winning the title match to retain, as long as it has some type of credible build to it. Just having him beat everything that walks each and everytime is well, boring, and probably a big reason why people have decided to turn away from wrestling and on to others forms of entertainment.

Its just not exciting or unpredictable like it used to be.

I think Shane vs Orton will be a good match. Shane has had some great matches in his career, ie match with kurt angle at KOTR, and matches with test...should be a entertaining match...

Completely agree. But the little kids LOVE the guy and all the WWE cares about is the money they make off of him, so they will continue to push him to the moon.

HBK and JBL is a nice feud so far. Shane isn't as young as he used to be to do all those stunts he pulls, be interesting to see how Orton carries him. I have never thought his skills were that strong as a worker anyways.

Wait a second here, is Christian back in the WWE?

I've watched RAW on and off for the past few weeks, so i haven't paid much attention. Christian is one of my all time faves. Him and Edge together back in the day was awesome.

Anyone see Jericho lay waste to a few fans in Canada? He actually punched a girl in the face. And you know what? She deserved it.

Kudos to Jericho for not taking any crap from anyone. Must have been a scary scene having all of those fans surround his car like that. Honestly, do Canadians not know that its scripted or something?

he will be inevitably sued, and the punks on film showing how classless they are will get tons of TV exposure, and interviews, thus reinforcing their idiotic behavior.

and it's a shame, because honestly, he showed more restraint than i would have. all Jericho did was shove some people out of his personal space. if i were surrounded like that and spit on, i would be looking to do damage. clearly, all he wanted to do was leave in peace.
