I would not be bothered if Bell, Carey, and Crowder all walked.

Keeping Vern would be nice, but not at top-5 tackle $$$. No way in hell.

I doubt the franchise tag gets used by the Dolphins this year at all.

Here's the rub, you don't franchise a player simply because he may be popular or well liked. It is usually reserved for players with much better than average skills and ability. With that said, i do not believe we have either truly fitting that category. in other words, is Vernon Carey worth $8.451 mil? Or bell at $6.342 mil or even Crowder at $8.304 mil? That's where it is really at. Keep in mind that this was the only full season that Bell had also. But of the 3, if we were to tag either of them, i would rather it be Carey but a better option is to negotiate better, with all 3 actually but i wouldn't bend too far on Bell or Crowder tho. I like them both but think they'll expect and want more than their worth.
