I feel like Walt is going to play a big role in tying some things together. I wonder why Locke visited Walt during his time off the island (per Walt's discussion with Hurley in the psychiatric ward) and told him that the O6 were lying?
Actually... When Walt and Michael were let go, there was a flash (Swan Hatch). Could mean something. OK, a few things... I've read (and agree with) a theory about a specific scene, the first of its kind. When the Islanders come back to their camp, it looked raided and used. Except the canoes. Miles found a water bottle bottle. It was some Indian airlines. I believe we saw the future. During the current timeline (the one where Sawyer, Locke, Juliet, Miles, Daniel, and Charlotte are from), the island is out of control. And in this timeline has all 6 are still bouncing around. Which means they fail to get the O6 back as of right then (not the future, but that moment). Just like the Losties found the black rock, 4 toed statue, Danielle (her story more accurately), Desmond's boat, etc... The Island 6 (I6 shortand) are looking at a camp which was discovered by a new downed flight, the Indian airline... Perhaps that flight held the O6, who in turn were chasing their friends (unknowingly) or a new group of people, who the island (Jacob??) wanted. And they chased them because they thought the I6 were "others". There are a few possibilities... Also, the van that Ben and Sayid were cruising around in had a name on the side of it, Canton Rainier. That is an anagram for "reincarnation".
Walt better play a big part in Lost. They never explained why the Others took him (or the other kids), and besides that it was rumored for a long time that Walt was the key to everything.
From another site I'm with whoever said ajira airlines is how the 6 get back on the island. Which means the ajira bottle in the boat belonged to one of them, which means it was in the future. Future Oceanic 6 leaves the beach for a minute, finds one of their boats missing, and chases after whoever took it. Which I think means Sawyer & friends were being shot at by Jack & friends.
Remember that Ben told Michael that the Island wanted him alive, so Jin still has something left to accomplish. And it seems we may finally see if the sickness really is what Juliet, Miles and Charlotte are suffering from, Rousseau said thats what her crew died of.
That's a good point on the Ben quote. Nice pickup. I suppose the real question to ask yourself is whether Rosseau had any contact with Jin from when 815 crashed on the island to when she was killed. If so, why didn't she say something about seeing Jin in the past? Maybe she thought she was going crazy, I don't know. But the truth is, and I could very well be way off, I don't remember a specific scene where Jin and Rosseau would have seen each other through the first 4 seasons. Also, I don't believe that was the O6 shooting at Sawyer and Co. on the canoe. It just wouldn't make sense. Why would the O6 trash the Losties camp?? and why would they use two canoes when one seated six comfortably?? I'm more inclined to think that another, totally unrelated plane crash had occured (as evidenced by the A. Airways water bottle found in the canoe) on the island.
Agreed on both parts. Was it Rosseau who showed Kate, Claire and Sun the Others hatch with all the baby stuff? I seem to remember her bringing them to it and then said she didn't want to go in and walked away. You'd think she must have seen Jin around the camp, it would be interesting to see if she was with him in a scene and him not just in the background.
Spoiler Jack dives from the top of the waterfall and he swims over to Hurley, who's sitting on the side playing guitar... There's also a floating guitar case. Then he swims over to a maybe unconscious Kate. Suddenly, Jin comes out of the jungle holding a gun and wearing a Dharma jumpsuit. Jacks says "Jin?" And then Jin lowers the gun looking confused
There is some crazy stuff going on Spoiler Two new people will accompany the O6 back to the Island. We will see another crash. We will see Ms. Hawking inside the Lamppost Station. Sawyer has to to lie. The lie hinges on everyone's safety, especially his own. Someone we've seen will be shown to be Ethan's mother. [...] Dharma wants to kill Sayid and capture him. A teenage Ben helps him escape. Ben is shot and I think Jin witnessed this. Juliet tries to help Ben but gets Sawyer and Kate to help her carry Ben to Richard and the Others. Richard Alpert was there and so were Others with guns. Locke is seen shooting a scene where he is wearing an outfit very similar to the suit he was buried in. Lost' star says Smoke Monster secrets to emerge "Lost" star Daniel Dae Kim says one of the TV drama's biggest mysteries - the Smoke Monster - will be unveiled, and soon. Kim says the origin and nature of the malevolent dark cloud will be disclosed and viewers will even get a glimpse of its lair. Turns out the monster is as "old as the island" that's been home to the Oceanic jet-crash survivors and their foes. Kim also cautions against expectations that his character, Jin, will reunite with his wife, Sun, even though Jin survived a freighter explosion and Sun returns to the island after escaping it. Those events don't mean "they're particularly in the same place or chronologically in the same time," Kim says. http://apnews1.iwon.com//article/20090210/D96916M82.html
Smoke Monster is a defense mechanism protecting the mysterious Temple we learned about at the end of S3. It appears that the temple "changes" people. Maybe why Cindi (the flight attendant kidnapped early on) was happy to be an Other? Maybe brainwashing? Christian Shepard was dead and is now alive. He's obviously not the Jacob, but an instrument. Or possibly Jacob possessing someone? Polterguise can't be ruled out either Ben lied to Locke about who was suppose to turn the wheel. Maybe Ben wanted to prove to Jacob that he could get the 06 back. Doing what Locke couldn't. Maybe that's why Ben let the 06 go so easily in the s4 finale. Kate seemed shocked that he would. And we know Ben is on top of everything at all times. BenOWNAGE FTW! The Daniel/Charlotte **** confuses me... Don't know what to make of it. I'm going to rewatch it... NOW.
Its strange that those same Hieroglyphics were right above the hole the smoke monster likes to hide in.
I listened to the LOST podcast w/ Damon and Carlton and they mentioned the hieroglyphics. I forgot why they said they're all over. Something about symbolism. I'll get the link tomorrow for you.
lol. Like Luke and Liea kissing then the whole ROTJ reveal. I was hoping the scary guy was Jacob. But it makes sense it was Daniel. He'd scare the **** out of me if I was a kid...
I agree with you there. Where are they are? What time period? Locke fixed the giant gear and there was a white flash. We know Daniel at some point is back in Dharma time (opening scene of the first s5 episode). We know Charlotte was around when Dharma was on the island (interesting note: she was born there. So the child bearing issue occurs after). Ergo, Daniel is in Dharma time, warns Charlotte, but you can't change the past. Like Desmond trying to save Charlie, the universe will not be denied. Charlotte is dead no matter what...?
see i just figured they were going to run into baby charlotte at the well in this episode, explaining why charlotte knew about the well and why daniel would be foolish enough (knowing it wouldn't matter) to tell her not to come back, just because of grief. i suppose that could still happen.
I'm thinking that Faraday is similar to Richard in that he never seems to age. His hair has gone from longer to shorter, but he has always looked the same age, just like Richard. Mayber Richards son perhaps?
I don't remember that temple at all. Hmm but i guess there is so much to this show that its hard to remember everything. Did they mention that it changes people before? If so, then i wonder if putting Locke's body into it when they get back turns him into Jacob. Allowing him to really be their leader.
i like the smoke monster and the myth behind it more and more. was the temple the same as the underground thing that ben went inside of to summon the smoke monster? if not, does that mean there can be multiple smoke monsters? (as they protect the temples and not the island). does anyone remember the smoke monster when it turned into yemi in season 2? did it physically become him? i cant remember now. also, danielle shooting all her friends, none of them appeared to be "sick" as she said before, im dying to figure out what the french guys saw/heard/learned inside the temple....its not like the smoke monster could talk to them and explain that it was a security system.
Here you go. http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2009/02/official-lost-podcast.html This is the official lost podcast with the producers. They talk about hieroglyphics. (don't let the spoiler in the link scare you, the producers just discuss things. They never give anything away. Tease at best. Plus it's a week old, and "this place is death" already aired).
it seems only their minds are traveling through time and not their actual bodies. but yea i believe richard and faraday are jumping alot..a hole lot.
the impression i got was that ben was more shocked and puzzled that des knew she was farradays mom. he realized that des had to have talked to farady and things were worst than he planned for on the island. but thats just my opinion.
