I don't know what went wrong with this movie. The premise was good, the art style was cool, there was some good laughs and voice talent...but it just didn't work.

 

I totally agree. I was hoping it would have been better.

 

MILK - Very good movie, and Sean Penn was outstanding. Josh Brolin was excellent as well, but was such a small part I don't believe he really will pose a threat to Heath's chances at the Oscar. I give it a 4½ out of 5.

 

Oh dear. I'm sorry. If you're like me, you watched it to say you've watched it -- and realize it wasn't worth it at all.

Appaloosa- Good movie. Its no 3:10 to Yuma but good for a western

 

Saw Milk. I agree w/ PMZQ that Penn was outstanding. He's really is an amazing actor that doesnt get the credit he deserves imo. The movie was good, quite sad, and upsetting though.

 

Yes, I lived through that era, and know what it was like. Even with all the "gay liberation" movement all around us, it was still so hard to come out and be yourself. The pressure we had to live under was I thought made clear with this movie. If people didn't understand until now, what it was like to be queer before the 1990's this movie showed them.

Slumdog Millionaire - 9/10...Amazing movie, and lived up to all the hype.

 

Saw Taken. Was pretty fun movie.

 

The Rocker. Pretty funny. Christina Applegate is still incredible.

Remember the Spartans. Alot funnier than people said it was. 10 times the movie disaster movie was.

 

third person to tell me its pretty funny. I will say though saying 10 times the movie then disaster movie, pretty bad way to promote it on your part.

 

The Rocker was pretty funny, it was a PG-13 version of Superbad.

The extras on the DVD were pretty cool too.

 

The eye ball scene was one of the all-time great ones in that genre. I also found it funny that the Asian chick cost more money to get imported. A perfect example of art not imitating life.

 

The China Syndrome....5 out of 5 stars. Very intense and riviting. This could actually happen, and that is extremely scary.

 

Zack and Miri - I've liked all of Seth Rogen's movies till now. This movie was pretty bad, imo. 5/10.

Max Payne - There's 90 or so minutes of my life I wasted. 1/10.

 

Just saw Taken and Liam Neeson was bad ***. I thought it was a really good movie.

 

Outlander. I was very impressed with how good this movie was. Better than alot more films out there that have a ridiculous budget.

 

Gran Torino is a very good film.

 

Hotel for dogs- cute movie

 

Slumdog Millionaire - Bollywood goes upscale. Great film that is worthy of the hype. Loved it. 5/5.

Still slots in at #3 overall for films I've seen this year, behind the Wrestler and Gran Turino.

Revolver - Man, I don't know what to think after this movie. It was interesting and entertaining, but I am left wondering why? lol

 

The Signal. Wow. Horror/thriller fans really need to see this flick. At turns terrifying, disturbing, heartbreaking, funny and fascinating, it contains some of the best acting I've ever seen in a horror film.

Slumdog Millionaire lived up to the hype I really hated his brother though.

 

Just watched The Wrestler. It was good, but didnt blow my socks off like I'd hoped. I think I enjoyed Sean Penn's performance in Milk and maybe Hoffman's performance in Doubt more than Rourke's tbh. But good movie.

 

Oh Yeah Max Payne also. It was very meh I thought it was going to be worst actually.
