Ok, so I earned the ability to give the finger Spoiler while "captured" at the spire, but I can't do it now that I left the spire. What's up with that? I want this damn demon door open.
okay i'm sure this has been brought up like 15 gagillion times. but i'm trying to decide between fable 2 and fallout 3. both seem like fun games, i love RPGs (big fan of KOTOR, Elder Scrolls, mass effect etc.) but i'm less of a fan of straight shooters (i liked gears of war, but it kinda got repetitive to me). i dont like games where you just run around and shoot as many people as you can and constantly just pick up health and ammo and dying is expected to happen frequently. do either of these games seem like a better fit? i thought i was leaning towards fable, but i've been reading reviews and i guess there's supposed beef with fable that its glitchy and that a lot of the 'customization' that you can do is actually pointless? like it doesn't really mod your character in any way besides appearance? anyone have any suggestions?
I wish I purchased Fallout 3 instead of Fable 2. I rented Fallout 3 from Gamefly and got over 70 hours of play out of it. Its a big world and is soon to get bigger with the upcoming updates.
i'll take the unanimous vote for fallout3 as a good vote of confidence for it. thanks fellas, i'll be purchasing it in the next few days. don't have a day off work til saturday though so will probably have to wait til then to get going on it. thanks for the help
I picked this up about a week ago with some extra cash I got for my birthday. I was going to get Fallout, but I've been home for all of 2 days in the last 2 weeks, so Fable works when I'm at home - provided Mrs. Odin doesn't want me to take her out to dinner. I've done a couple things that seem to help my game, first and foremost installing it to the hard drive. I've had no real glitches or lockups. Sometimes my dog disappears when I'm digging up treasure, but that's really it. Game runs smooth and I haven't had any problems. I also downloaded the Knothole Island DLC, it's pretty fun, but a little bit short. The weapon shop is a nice touch - I like the idea of being able to remove augments. The potions are nice, though I've done nothing but eat vegetables to keep from getting fat. I played it mid-game, so it felt like part of the experience, and not an add-on. I do wish that the equipment you purchased (outside of your weapons) had some bearing on your character, other than appearance. I'd like to see a boost to my defense, or my will, etc. Though it doesn't really matter because you can never die on the game. So far it's really fun, I'm about 80% done with the game and I've probably put in around 20 hours or so into it ... I do wish that there was more in the line of character customization, but it looks pretty and has a pretty entertaining story. I'll probably play through it again and be purely evil ...
Fable 2 Rocks my socks. Wow the game is so refreshing and fun. I'm actually overwhelmed atm with how big the actual world is. I got some Gypsy preggers and set the Marital home as the Gypsy home so living conditions are not that great.
Is this game similar to Fallout as far as the freedom to roam around and do as you please all of that? If so I may need to pick up an Xbox after the tax refund comes in. I can't get enough of these wide open RPGs.
people love to compare it to Fallout... Very bad comparison imo. It's more like Zelda with freedom... If that makes sense.
You should. Personally I don't think it is redundant to have both a PS3 and a 360. I use both for games equally.
I'm not a person who feels too much loyalty to one brand or another. I mean I've always thought playstation was a good brand and I love my PS3 but I don't love missing out on great games which is why I'm considering a 360. Despite the reliability issues. Mass Effect is another game I think I want to play and maybe Gears of War.
Mass Effect is one of my alltime fav. 360 games. Best of all I got one of the free special addition editions that the SciFi channel was giving away. If I had not gotten it that way I probably would have missed out on it.
I bought it a month ago for 50. Good game though. I haven't played it in two or three weeks because I can't stop playing Mass Effect. I love that game.
I still have Lost Odyssey to finish (Im on disc 4) and also have a monster called Fallout 3 to tackle too. So I am not lacking in games to play. lol.
Yep. Plus I got caught in a dead end because I entered Terrace Cave that turns out just to be a place with treasures. I got a bunch of levels there though lol. If it wasnt for me glancing at a walkthrough, I may have been there forever. Now I am at Uhra catching up on my memories, etc.
remember the part where you fight those 3 giant thing walking towards the city (might have been the end of disc 3)... Holy hell.. I must have died there 30 times
I beat Mass Effect last night. Now it's almost time to get back to Fable 2. I also want need to playthrough Fallout 3 again. Not to mention I've neglected the Show since my PS3 died two weeks ago and I lost my old saved games. Good thing a lot of new stuff hasn't come out yet, maybe I'll be able to catch up by the fall.
