"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote ; "Genius". I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college. And so let's get down to cases. You are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now, don't try to get away. I am more muscular, more cunning, faster, and larger than you are; and, I'm a "Genius". Why you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to Kindergarten. So, I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers."

I'm 43 years old and Looney Toons still entertains me and at times out right cracks me up. Chuck Jones and crew were amazingly gifted.

This cartoon was pure genius. Nearly 60 years after it was made, and we still laugh just as hard as ever at this stuff.

Saturday mornings were just not right unless I saw the Bugs Bunny Show at 8am and then later at 12:30 pm watched The Road Runner Show, and then at 1pm was the locally produced horror movie show (they showed those awful Godzilla movies, or the 1950's sci fic flicks, etc etc)

Thanks for posting this BDH  Brought back memories of better times for me. :wink2:

Those were the days, eh? Yeah, I'm that old, as well.
Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck have always, always been my favorite cartoons.
    And thanks Big Dog.

    Thankd bro......here's another one.....

That sure does bring back the memories. Marty do you remember the Tarzan movies they showed on Saturdays and also on Sundays at 12pm on channel 4, they showed all those "Sons of Hercules" sword & sandal peplum movies. That is where my facination for muscles and all that came from  I used to beg my parents to get home from church (Flagler Street Baptist Church - Flagler and 35th Ave, near Flagler Dog Track) as soon as possible.

Sometimes we went to Toby's Cafeteria after church, or also to the Biscayne Cafeteria on Miracle Mile in the Gables (their baked deviled crab was outrageously good, and I would KILL for the recipe !!!! :wink2:) Anyone else remember Toby's and the Biscayne ?

Of course.. Johnny Weissmuller was the best ever. We ALL could do the Tarzan call

Sons of Hercules not so much

nooo, Dad was a cop, and poor, if we were REALLY lucky, we went to Allen's Drugstore at Bird and Red Road.

    I stumbled across a place that will make you smile.. lots of one liners, here are just some taken as is and some of the memories they invoked in me;

    Remembering old Miami

OH MY ****ING GOD Marty you did it :wink2: I only go back to 1960, but yes I remember many things that are so different here now. I was in Allen's about 6 months ago....love that place.

Marty you remember Tylers ? When we'd go to the Gables or Coral theatre then stop at Tylers for a piece of Key Lime Pie. Of course there was Shorty's down on the highway, still there of course (I heard the one in Viera/Melbourne just closed from a friend that lives up there).

On Bird Road there was Taco Viva at Bird and 65th, and Coopers Restaurant at about 64th on the north side of the street. I still go to Duffys Tavern on Red just north of Coral Way.......ahhhhh the memories.

Anyone that says Miami was nothing until the Cubans came just never grew up here and experienced the old Miami, or as my mother still calls it, My-am-a

We moved from 416 NW 35th Ave, near the dogtrack to Westchester (very close to Coral Way and the Palmetto) in 1971, so my focus on was always on West Dade, Coral Gables and South Miami......where did you grow up Marty ? Or anyone else ? What was your neighborhood ?
