Hmm interesting. I've never really put any thought into it but if they did in fact think about moving Satele to RG to get away from the bigger NT's, is there any possiblity of moving Donald Thomas to Centre. Would he be able to play center? I'm sure he wouldn't get pushed around by large NT's.

Just a thought, no a clue if it would even be a viable solution with the personell we have.

Do you really think so....or are you just hopeful?
Me, I'd love to see it; he's certainly one of the best. Plus, he's still young. I'm not convinced they're willing to pay him what he's going to ask, though. We've got Carey to take care of. Plus, Parcells mentioned needing "more firepower on offense". To me that sounded like possibly spending some money on a FA WR.
But, my own opinion is that they're hoping Al Johnson steps up and takes the starting Center job. Then they can draft a G/T
Parcells and co. are familiar with Johnson from his time with Dallas (he was the starting C in 04 and 05).

"It's clear that the Dolphins intend on upgrading their offensive line, particularly at center and guard"

I don't know what their basis for this is but its something I'm an advocate of. I think we need more talent there. It doesn't have to start next season but it has to provide better depth next season. I felt that once we lost Thomas and Smiley our chances against the Ravens were miniscule. We could have survived the loss of one interior guy but not both.

I'm not sure I'd be in favor of going after Brown though. I think his salary demands will be more than we should allocate there.

He was just saying he thinks, but is also hopeful. I think we may go after him too, couldn't hurt. The better our O-line is the better for our offense this coming season. We need to protect our QB and open bigger holes for our Dynamic Duo Ronnie and Ricky.

good, i don't want a 32 year old Center with a big contract. if we want a solid Center, we can draft Alex Mack and move Samson Satele to LG, then Smiley to RG. i believe Smiley is a better RG than LG, and i believe Satele is a better G than Center imo. if not, then keep Satele at C and draft Duke Robinson, put him at LG and Smiley at RG. we have lots of possiblities tbh.

sam plyaed hurt this past season . more than likely all season or the better part of it .
sam may not be the answer at center? but i will let parcells and co decide what is best. brown is a good center but so are a few in the draft which one would be cheaper ?
