I need ya'lls opinion on something. I have a 42" rear projection Sony LCD that a coworker wants to buy from me. Not knowing what something like this would be worth (either of us) we agreed on $500. Do you think this is a fair price for both of us? Or lopsided one way? It's the Grand Wega 720p/1080i model. It's a little over 3 yrs old and has worked like a champ.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,
    bg.

I have the exact same TV accept mine is two years old. GREAT T.V. in my opinion.

I think $500.00 is a fair price for you. It's funny actually, I have agreed to sell mine to my Mother in 6 months for the exact same price...LOL!

Bad deal for him, great deal for you. There have recently been 42 inch 720P name brand Plasma sets for as low as 700-800 brand new. Honestly for a 3 year old set like that I might give you $300.

Bad deal for him, I agree.* Considering its age and size.* It isn't completely unfair deal, but you are definitely winning out.* I'd think $425/450 would be more fair. That is unless you're helping him move it.

Well, he came and got it (drove 40 miles too, lol). He's happy with it, so I guess that's all that matters. To be honest, I would have taken $425-$450 for it. Oh well, now it's off to find it's replacement tomorrow! So many options, lol.
