If we retain the number 1 pick I think we go D-line with either Dorsey or Long. However we do need LB's too, just not with the #1 pick as there is no L.T. in this years draft. Looking at Mike May****'s top 5 on NFL network
    Heith Rivers USC
    Ali Highsmith LSU
    Dan Conner PSU
    Phillip Wheeler GT
    Jordan Dizon Colorado

Seems like Gholston has fallen off the top tier.
Who would you pick with our subsequent round picks?

I like Wheeler. I would love it if we traded down, grab Larinitus and grab Martin Rucker with our 2.

    Jonathan Goff, Vanderbilt
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 235.
    40 Time: 4.63.
    Projected Round: 2-3.
One of the top defensive players in the SEC, Jonathan Goff had 93 tackles in 2006 and was the leader of the Commodores.

    Shawn Crable, Michigan
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 245.
    40 Time: 4.59.
    Projected Round: 2.
Has a habit of getting to the opposing signal caller. Shawn Crable should be able to play in the 4-3 or 3-4, although he's more suited for the former.

JL wont raise his stock nemore but Meaulega the guy from USC is a sure fire top 5 pick next year, at least JL would have been the first MLB taken as oppose to next yaer.

If Lauriniatis is staying I wonder if this will effect Gholston's decision. These guys probably feel like they have something to prove after losing the last two National Championships.

A interesting thing about Lauriniatis is his father was a wrestler in the WWE. They were talking about it on the pregame show Monday night and Lauriniatis said he wouldn't mind following in his fathers foot steps. That would suck if he ended up wrestling.

    Well

    Jenkins and Gholston are gone.

But JL all year has said that he would stay for his Senior year. He has been deciding what to do all week. His dad wants him to go pro.

ID love to have JL back at Ohio St.

Also this isnt official just rumors.

Love both of them. Beau Bell is definitely a guy we should consider at the bottom of Round 2. I am also seeing a few mocks that have Quentin Groves falling out of the first.

I think the selection is Connor. I think Parcells will try to build this team like Marv Levy did in Buffalo for the past two season and I think he'll take a LB in the second round from Penn State just like Levy did.

Exactly, he'll be a 3-4 OLB if we, the Raiders, or Patriots nab him in the top 10. I believe he can play fine as a 4-3 DE, but would be better served as a 3-4 OLB, and I'd love to take him, even at #1 overall.

For a group of fans who have seen ZT play his heart out for the better part of a decade I am surprised no body is talking about Ben Moffitt. Dude plays with heart and an all out motor and like ZT after a play when people are piling off the ball carrier he is always right there getting up. Dude has descent speed descent size and is a football player.

Thats interesting, this is indeed a great year for linebacker, however, only 1 guy on your list would make mine

Dan Connor WILL be our 32 if he is there, however, chances are actually pretty good he doesnt make it past pick 12..

    Connor
    Crable (Michigan)
    J Leman (Illinois)
    Bell (UNLV)
    Goff. (Vanderbilt)

would be my wish list, in that order.

Anyway we go, we are finally going to be picking up serious talent at LB...

Moffit wouldnt be a bad pick. Depending on what we have done by 4-1, he could be a phin...and there is ZERO doubt about his desire to play.

He could very well play OLB in a 3/4

    Vernon Gholston
    Jonathan Goff
    Shawn Crable
    Beau Bell

If we could land any two person combo out of that...wow. I'm personally hoping for Gholston and Bell.
