Guess that makes Vince Young a very expensive backup. Thats going to be interesting, I think Young will want to be traded but I don't see anyone thinking he is a quality starter anymore.
I'm very impressed with the fact that Tenn has blown two high recent draft picks on guys like Adam Jones and Vince Young yet still manage to field a very good football team.
I think this makes it interesting about Tennessee getting another QB in the draft at some near time especially if they have given up on Young. I think this whole Collins experiment will be interesting to watch as Tennessee overachieved last year and I expect them to take a step back this year finishing somewhere near 9-7 or 10-6 and not making the playoffs (and possibly finishing as bad as 3rd in the AFC South behind Indy and Houston). If that occurs the Tennessee QB situation will be fun to watch.
Keep an eye on Chris Simms. They're very high on him and like him as the future. I expect Vince Young to be a goner but it wouldn't shock me to see him get playing time once Kerry Collins throws his first 3 interception game.
For those that don't know Simms is obviously the son of Phil Simms, Giants QB. He was originally drafted by the Bucs and was let go by Gruden after not playing due to an injury. I think the Titans picked him up a couple of years ago. The question is.. if what Alen is saying is true (could be, could be) where does vince young go?
