Jeff Ireland open to anything with No. 25 pick http://www.palmbeachpost.com/blogs/...reland.html?cxntfid=blogs_inside_the_dolphins Another Positive Sign http://shashaty.blogspot.com/2009/01/another-positive-sign.html
Which one of you fellas is Chris? ) Whoever it is, you did a great job puting that piece together! ..and of course ATVZ great job diggin up fresh articles!
Oh please! What else is he going to say? He's not going to show his hand. This is how the game is played.
I'm gonna guess Chris is SickFan33. because he's the only guy who's name I know that is "chris". Reading the articles now... edit: read the Jeff Ireland one. He's being vague but it seems to me like they know where they want to go. I agree that you can't really say too much and that's obvious but it's phins football and that's got me excited. the extra points one is good, too. makes me feel good that a SB may be here sooner rather than later. I like that.
haha not me dude.... http://www.blogger.com/profile/09919996831816055239 iam not close to 43.....but thanks for keeping me in mind
This is an interesting tid-bit about Jake Long. He is only the 4th player in NFL history to be picked #1 overall and make the Pro Bowl in his rookie year. Only four players...FOUR...drafted first overall since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger have made the Pro Bowl as rookies: Oilers RB Earl Campbell (1978), Lions RB Billy Sims (1980), Rogers, and Long.
i'm gonna state this and want to hear your thoughts.... if we cant snag a top ILB with our first round pick... try to trade down and gain extra picks in later rounds... i jsut dont see us snagging Alex Mack with our pick, or picking OLB due to Cam Wake.... other C/G positions arent really worth high picks at all... and S wise i would hope we can get Louis Delmas like 2-3 round (matters on his stock)
Not being a dick here..but, Long did a fantastic job on the OL. He well deserved the PB nom. However the PB meant much more years ago. Long will be great for years to come. The AFC East has some of the best OLs in the NFL
Low draft slot doesn't faze Jeff Ireland + some more. Low draft slot doesn't faze Miami Dolphins' GM http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/story/866361.html To market they will go http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/other/sfl-flspdolphins22sbjan22,0,194729.story Receiver from small school could be big in Dolphins' plans http://www.palmbeachpost.com/dolphi...hinsforweb21.html?cxtype=rss&cxsvc=7&cxcat=46
I am fairly confident in this staff to make quality picks during the offseason. Free Agents, Draft Picks, and UDFA's that are added will be the kind of players this team needs to continue to improve.
From the answers he gave in the interview, it sounds like Barden has his act together. He could be the big red zone target we need to replace Wilford if he can play as well as he interviews.
Not sure, but I read a scouting report that said that he tends to be a bit lazy and needs alot of work on his route running. I'll look around to see if I can find more. Here's a clip of him in action [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oypUsE7dho8"]YouTube - Ramses Barden (Cal Poly)[/ame]
he has very good hands actually, and is not as slow as people may say. he jsut struggles to explode off the line, but once he gets going he is decently fast. and yes he does need work on route running and seperation.... but with his size and use of body would definitely help us in our red zone woes. great character and worker for the team... Parcells and Sparano would get him working hard if they brought him in, and he seems to be willing at that.
Different site, we are on ThePhins.com and he is a writer for Phins.com, I knw a couple come over here from Phins.com but not sure if he does.
