Joe Flacco was 0-4 this year when he had to put the ball up over 30 times this year.

I thought we would be able to make him pass over 30 times in the playoffs when we face him, and that's why i thought we win that game.

Anyways we didn't make them do that but it was good to see Cam have to put the ball in the rook's hands and see them get kicked out of the playoffs.

Flacco gets no love from me. ATL won in party by Ryan. Flacco? Not so much IMO. In the game they kept saying how well he was playing, then they put up the stats and I almost spit my beer up. How do you play well with a completion percentage so low.

Exactly. This guy has been getting entirely too much media love. He is really not all that impressive.

Problem is, he didn't have to throw 30 times. We turned the ball over 5 times. Had we been more secure with the football, we might have been playing the Steelers in AFC Championship game.

he's played well. he's accurate and gives them the deep threat. he's ultra cautious which will accounts for the low completion percentage. his biggest problem imo is the glacier like time it takes him to set up and set his feet to pass. he's going to have to increase the speed in his dropback and delivery next year

I agree. Nobody in the media wanted to point out that his completion percentage was well below 50% [that's terrible] and he had only thrown one TD in the postseason.

For the media, the whole "rookie QB success story" was the more interesting angle. But the running attack and their stifling defense had more impact on their success; during the regular season as well as the post season.

He played alright for a rookie, really the Ravens just wanted him to not make big mistakes and throw a deep pass every now and then, thats what he did. His numbers weren't impressive and he's not ready to carry a team but he was solid for a rookie.

If I remember correctly, Roethlisberger, whom many compare him to, wasn't too effective when he had to throw it 30+ times a game either until about this season.

That could be said of many and most young QB's.

Roethlisberger and Flacco were both lucky cuzz they were on very good teams to start off with.So even when other teams knew how to beat them " make them put it up " it was still very hard to do cuzzz over all the teams they both played for were so good.

As far as whom many compare Flacco to i think that would be Drew Bledsoe, but Flacco can run unlike Bledsoe.........But i'm 14 years older then you so there could be some 70 year old reading this thinking to himself we both don't know what were talking about and Flacco looks just like Joe funkyard from the 60's.
