Since we can't talk about bad movies all day, is anyone else looking forward to Harold & Kumar 2 as much as I am? I was honestly expecting a dumb stoner movie when H&K Go To White Castle came out, but it was surprisingly good. Even the dumb humor wasn't THAT dumb if you thought about it a little bit.

I've got some high expectations for H&K 2, especially given the thing's title. Apparently Harold and Kumar are sent to Gitmo because a passenger on a flight thinks that Kumar's bong is instead a bomb, they escape with Neil Patrick Harris' help, travel up Florida through the southeast and make their way to George W. Bush's Texas ranch.

This is going to be good.

Yeah was browsing a list of movies for '08 and saw a trailer for this. Ive actually never seen the first one, but that trailer had me laughing hard. Will likely be renting the first soon and looking forward to this one :)

I was impressed with Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, figured it'd be a stupid movie like you said. I don't know if I'll watch when it's out in theaters, but I'll try to.

I'm definitely seeing this movie day one, and I NEVER go to the theater anymore. I just can't pass up the chance.

Yeah I'll have to go watch this one as well. It is up there with some of my other favorite comedies in my opinion. It was edgy, off the wall, and just hilarious, but somehow clever. I hope the sequel is just as good.

From what I've read, people involved with the movie say it's "ten times funnier," there's more nudity, and more Neil Patrick Harris.

    Can't miss!

Let's not get TOO excited quite yet, though. They did show Kumar's *** and the creepy mechanic guy in underwear in the first movie.

You just got your wish, but not how you intended.

According to IMDB, Christopher Meloni, the actor who played Freakshow, is back in H&K2. But he's not a member of a church; he's a KKK Grand Wizard.

    This ought to be interesting.

Harold and Kumar for me was one of those rare movies where the first time I watched it, I didn't really like it. The second time I watched it, I really liked it.

The first one was hilarious, one of the scenes that I got a good laugh out of was when they went to a BK type restaurant and the guy at the window started knocking everything over and yelling "Lets burn this M'Fer down!" and then tells H&K he put animal seamen in the barbeque sauce. The part where the two chicks are having a Battle**** in the bathroom is funny. The punk rocker dude who always made the dinosaur noise and the random guy coming up next to Kumar on the highway to take a pee. There are too many to list them all, I'm going to have to rent it now.

Looks awesome. Loved the first. I hope we get a sneak preview here at UCLA (Kal Penn is an alum) instead of random indie films.

    Don't we all wish?

But no, they're going after Maria, Kumar sneaks a bong onto the plane, and an old woman thinks he's saying "bomb," not "bong," so she freaks out and they get detained by Homeland Security.

Everything in Hollywood is preachy in a "vote for the Democrats" way.

There was an interview where one of the writers or directors was asked about it, and they said they think they're making fun of everybody.

I appreciate these guys. As a former tri-state area guy, I understand the pain and suffering, due to the lack of White Castles through-out Southern NJ.
