Good game Gators!!! OU's defense played a heck of a game but the offense didn't show up. We were good between the 20s but couldn't push it in. Anyways, not going to whine about...the gators were better coached and came ready to play. I hope Bradford comes back because we have some unfinshed business. Wish we would have had D. Murrary playing. Next Year

 

Missing Demarco Murray turned out to be HUGE for the Sooners. They were succesful running between the 20s when the Florida defense was spread out, but in the red zone and in short yardage situations the Gators owned them.

Also on the other side the first half of this game was some of the worst play calling I have ever seen from Dan Mullen. Let's see when the linebackers crowd the line of scrimmage every first down and the safety is five feet from the ball why not throw a pass over the middle to the space that safety just vacated? Nah, let's just run up the middle into the teeth of their best defender and the run blitz. Even more frustrating that when the Gators finally did throw on first down it was a thirty yard completion in the fourth quarter. Why not try that earlier and loosen up that defense a bit?

Thank God Charlie Strong brought his A game from a coaching standpoint. Awesome job by the defense picking up assignments early and not letting Oklahoma get easy junk yards against a misaligned defense. (With the exception of Gresham's stroll in touchdown.)

He says that Florida is still in it, but Florida's class is filling up fast and he better commit back soon if he wants to play for the Gators.





Urban Meyer also said that after the FSU game Percy had a High ankle sprain and a bone fracture. Meyere also mentioned that he is getting calls from alot more recruits wanting to come play at Florida.

There have been reports that Tebow, Spikes, and Harvin would all come back, But those were all rumors. If all those guys come back I wonder about C.I. as well

 

Tebow would be foolish to not come back. He has a chance to win 3 championships and 2 Heisman's. You don't pass up history like that to get a head start on sitting on the bench in the pros.

There has been a lot of jawing from USC,UTAH and Texas fans that they should be No 1 .

Las Vegas does not think so .Pregame.com, a sportsbook, say today that The Gator would be a 4-point favorite over USC right now, 11 points over Texas and 14 over Utah.

The bookies have been accurate this year.

 

I think USC would be the hardest team out of them, but I wonder how they would do when they get spread out and hit right back in the face. This definetly is not a Penn State spread.

 

And they have never seen the kind of speed Florida has especially on defense.

I was offline yesterday, but a belated Congrats Gator fans, on your 3rd National Championship. Who knows, you guys may have a college football dynasty on your hands. Enjoy celebrating a great season of football.

 

Sadly, I was in the hospital, han't slept 3 hours in two days and I threatened to walk out if they didn't discharge me. I got home about 6pm, laid down and had my son wake me up for the game. I got some iced tea, propped myself up in bed to watch the game and fell asleep. I awoke the Corso's voice in the post game...sigh.. missed the whole damned thing. From a Cane, I am proud of Florida for representing my state.

 

Good to see you back Marty .It wasnt a spectacular game but we will take the BCS trophy any way we can get it.
