What do you like the most about the site?

What I like the most about this site is the posters maturely air their thoughts, and if there is any disagreements, there is no name calling or bashing like the "other" site. Admittedly, at the "other" site all I ever did was read the posts and never actually participated, that was not out of fear. I figured why waste my time and efforts when they were not supplying theirs.

Plus I get a funny, tingling feeling in my bathing suit area each time I read some of my fellow brethern posts'! That eventually causes me to reach for some much needed Kleenexes'.

I like the people mostly and the articles and pofo is also great.

 

Honestly, I LOVE this website. I am not a big time poster, but I read the Hell out of The Miami Dolphins Forum, the Draft Forum (Boomer is amazing lol), and occasionally the Lounge Forum.

I came from FH.com (sorry if Im not allowed to say that) and like this site a lot better. Over there I think it got too big too fast and I got tired of reading or trying to have an intelligent conversation with people that didn't know that much about football and/or the NFL. There is just so many "Dolphins should trade Ronnie Brown for Chad Johnson" Threads you can read before you get fed up. Not only that, but the fact that, that Thread would get about 200 responces, were a good thought provocking Thread would get like 30 responces.

This site is great though. It is not too big where Threads either rise to the top or get buried in a matter of hours. Yet its not vacant either.

The best thing in my opinion about this site is the amount of Knowledge by the posters here. Boomer, jim1, Alen so on and so forth are all great. I love how good articles are linked here so I just have to come to this site for my daily dose of Dolphins News. I like it even better when people qoute the important parts of the articles so I dont have to read the whole thing (yeah, Im lazy).

 

I didn't know they did this on here, although honestly I didn't look to hard. Is a new season going to start after the playoffs? I would love to get in on this, I participated with some people on this website on FH.com last year (I believe). I GM'ed the Oakland Raiders and had a ball. I would love to get involved with this again, so if you could please let me know.

 

I'm here because of the quality of posters that practically live here. You can know a ton about football and still learn something from almost anyone here......at all times during the day and night.

I just love this website. The Posters, the information you get, the great draft knowledge. You just can't hate this website. It's flawless.

Finheaven, on the other hand, is a website i really do not like. Like i said before, this website owns Finheaven

 

If not for that place most of us might not even know one another though. I like this site better than any site but I can't really say that I don't like any Dolphins fan site.


I do understand how some might feel that way because of all the fickle fans over there but it's where most of us started hangin out.

have not been there in months but if not for the competition things would be boring.

 

Speaking of Ozzy, I think I get the most out of the guys and gals who do the camp reports for us. We can watch the games and critique it but for those like me who are a million miles away from training camp and can't attend, the camp reports on how the draft picks, new free agents and current players are doing are most invalueable. I couldn't put a price on it. Sometimes camp reports from the media can be a little skewed but we get different perspectives from different people and we can have a better idea than from one set of eyes....if you know what i mean.

I look forward to more training camp reports from more people this new year. hint hint.

Oh yeah...people here are great.

 

where do i begin? First off, i love the design of this site. It is the nicest, most professional looking fan site out there. Seriously find me a better looking fan site...I bet you can't. I love the design of the main site also. I love the family atmosphere here. It really is a second family here. The post quality is great too. There are quality members here that make this site that more enjoyable. Also the staff here is the best staff i ever been apart of. We have the best staff members here imo. All those things added make this site what it is... This site only been in existence for almost a year and its like i been apart of this site forever!

i'm speechless, i'd like to thank god, my family, everyone who supported me, celtkin and other staff members. I COULDNT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!!

 

I must of seen 100 people over at the other place going nuts after Sunday, and only saw one person here calling others names and making drunkin threads.

99% of the people here are down to earth and cool here, and that's hard to find anywhere much less online.

 

That sums it up for me..... thanks to everyone that makes this site the best on the net, im glad to be part of it

Seriously, in spite of the negative connotation the phrase "looking through aqua-colored glasses" usually has in Dolphin threads, that explains my love for ThePhins.com. In other words, here you can chat about an amazingly broad scope of topics -- but all are viewed through the prism of Dolphin fandom.

Of course, the staying power is in the iconic personalities around here. I have a startling amount of "virtual" friends here -- and truth be told, I don't really consider them "virtual" at all.

Seriously, on behalf of all the staff, we appreciate everyone's presence here and everything they contribute to make this site great. A wonderful community of caring people combined with a more relaxed atmosphere make this the only place to be.

The Brother and sisterhood on this site is what makes it special for me. The ethics and morals of the Mods make it an exclusive club where if you don't bring your A game to the table chances are your gonna get outcasted. I love the fact that the Mods and administrators are willing to sacrifice quantity over quality for the bettermeant of its already existing members.

I remember a thread a while back where some dude try to come here and spew his nonsense....LOL...we all had each others backs, ripped him a new one intellectually and he was never seen around these parts again.

Its nice to have a 2nd family.

It didn't get too big, too fast. It was a great site for a very long time (in internet years). WE made it the first hit for everything Miami Dolphins related on search engines. Heck, a thread from DOLPHANMIKE got it on Miami radio and print.

Quality posts from quality people has driven people to that place. Now it's like Walmart. I left my 16 year old over there (not that I would leave him at Walmart).

Some day this site will have 30,000 plus members. I don't know what I will do then because towards the end of my existance over there - I barely posted at all. It was filled with lunacy. The only semi-enjoyable time was the offseason.

With all due respect to WharfRat and the other longterms moderators........Muck's volunteer reign made that place what it is.

 

The quality discussions and overall levelheadedness of the posters here makes it my favorite place to waste away my work hours while simultaneously trying to work. I don't post a lot, but usually because someone else has voiced my opinion better than I could, so I thank them instead.

And because FFIC has good taste in music.
