Yeah, I honestly think I'm too young to try and figure out how N.F.L. players get motivated for their games. I mean, I get pumped up on Friday all day during school, and something always happens that gets me all jacked up for the game, weather it be a newspaper clipping, or losing to a certain team last year. Your just right that High School and NFL are two completely different games. Who woulda though eh?
Who really cares, they have to play the game. The Dolphins are tough team. Am I worried about the Raven's defense? Sure I am. But Miami is a team of strong will. It should be a low scoring game that Miami will pull out 17-13.
This is my personal preference, actually. I love being the underdogs, especially at home. More reason for me to scream my lungs out for 60 minutes.
Hey all the EXPERTS are batting 000% so far. My guess is that they will do no better today. I mean, come on, no one gave the Chargers a chance in hell and the Cardinals; are you kidding me!!!!!! "You GOTTA believe and don't let nobody tell you you can't!!"
But its the smugness and seething vitrol that gets me. I just watched the NFL Network and Deion Sanders and Steve Mariucci both spitting out "the Ravens will dominate and destroy" the Dolphins, and "they will blow then out". I WANTED TO THROW SOMETHING AT THE TV !!! The total lack of respect was what got to me. The Dolphins have to win just to see the jaw drop on that a-hole Sanders !!! He is gonna finally be forced to say something nice about the Dolphins. What is his beef with the Dolphins anyways ? It seems like its personal.....did we like turn him down for a job or something like that ?????
Well, Deion is an ex-Raven, so he's a little bit of a homer for us. Same with Rod Woodson. As for Steve Marriuci, he wasn't a big fan at the beggining of the season then hopped on the bandwagon pretty much after we beat you guys.
Were most of them fromN.E. or just a bunch of bandwagon frontrunners. Pitt. fans are obnoxious but what I really hate is a born and raised Balt. boy rooting for the squealers. Makes me sick. HH
I think Baltimore is going to win. In fact, I think we might win by a larger margin than the first game we played. But so what? It's only my opinion. Has nothing to do with what actually takes place on the field. I do understand your frustration, though....Baltimore never seems to get this "respect" unless we're playing a team that the media likes even less than they like us. I don't care about respect. I just want a trophy this year.
8 out of 10 also picked the Falcons and Colts. Its a good thing they went ahead and played the games anyway.
Look at it this way, Miami hasn't been to the playoffs in a long time and we just came off a horrible 1-15 season, we have a lot to prove before we earn respect around the league. Hopefully that will lead to the Ravens underestimating us and a Dolphins win.
