There is a dude that is a trainer at a gym here in Tucson. He is a Gladiator in Sweeden. Same show, different nationality. The dude is a freakin animal...and one of the most genuinely nicest guys I have ever met... He goes to Sweeden for like 3-4 months, does the entire season then comes back here for the rest of the year. EDIT: In fact here is his picture. LOL Peder is a really nice guy. Has a smoking hot wife also. Black girl, and I think she was into some bodybuilding as well. She was also VERY nice. We were all working out one day, and a car alarm went off out in the parking lot (The Gym was on the second floor above all the Raquetball courts so you could get a good view of what was happening in the parking lot). He took off like a shot and nabbed these two dude trying to break into a car. Shouldve seen the look on these two hoodlums faces when they saw it was Peder that had caught them.. Funny as hell..
the original is alot better. i cant pin-point exaclty what i dont like about the show. The lame announcer?? the camera shots? The show is missing that Live Competition feel.
this will probably be a guilty pleasure for me. the women gladiators are pretty cute. theyre gonna meet a lot of competitors not much less physically imposing.
Had the exact same conversation at my place... The show is alright though. Not really a fan of the goofy music they play sometimes for the crowd to chant to or the over acted Gladiators. PS - Titan needs to go.
I think the show is nearly perfect as is. I would just get rid of Earthquake and bring back break through and conquer. I am actually really surprised on how well they did and didn't totally ruin it like when they tried to make Iron Chef on prime time
I agree, I always liked the way the old eliminator ended with them running through the paper and a Gladiator being on the other end.
I put this on DVR and just watched it last night. Man.... when they run through the wall at the end they all fall on their heads. And Wolf is a d@mn idiot, but I can't help but laugh a little.
Finally saw an episode and now I totally understand just how bad the between event interviews are... Though, knowing which of the Gladiators was in gay pron makes some of the interviews hilarious... Edit: No, it's not Titan...
