Number 1 Belongs to the New York Giants and Rightfully so... I mean the Pats were 18-0 and the Giants were a 12 point underdog... Their super bowl victory was amazing as they went to Tampa and beat them, then to Dallas and won a great game there and went to the cold in Green Bay and won in an amazing finish. Their playoff run was simply amazing. Dolphins get number 2 honors as they turn there season around.

    Dolphins stories
    53. Dolphins' Jerry Porter goes from free-agent bust to 17½ sacks.

    51. Bills give up home game in the elements against division rival Miami for indoor payday in Toronto.

    46. Dolphins take Michigan tackle Jake Long with top pick overall in 2008 draft.

    43. Dolphins and Giants tie for NFL record of just 13 turnovers in a season and finish a combined 23-9.

    22. Dolphins introduce Wildcat direct-snap formation, which is hailed as fresh, new and bold even though it was created 100 years ago

    15. Discarded by the Jets, Chad Pennington leads Dolphins to AFC East title.

    2. Miami Dolphins go from 1-15 to 11-5 and AFC East champs

I like the storylines on the list but i feel like quite a few of them are out of order. Also, the more i read and think about it, the more i really feel like Peyton deserves to be the MVP of the league this year as much as i would like to see chad get it.

Your sig makes no sense man

It isn't the job of a NT in our defense to make tackles. It's his job to occupy two defenders and open lanes for the linebackers. It's also not his job to rush the passer.

No interceptions or pass deflections? Those for a nose tackle are extremely rare and fluke like.

Ngata is great, but they don't even play the same position honestly.

    /Off topic.

it makes perfect sense because im looking for proof on how ferguson will make so much an impact in this game as everyone here is saying.
that is why i put on there "game changing stats" - just taking up two lineman every now and then is not gonna drastically change the game when baltimore has faced the best defensive lines in the league

A 3-4 defense does change drastically when they are without their 1st and 2nd string nose tackle.

He makes a diffence because our third string NT (who isn't even a NT) can't do the same job correctly. He can't occupy two blockers or get penetration.

Ferguson can. It makes a huge difference. On the line stats don't change a game in a 3-4 defense like ours.

It certainly will make a difference having a guy play a spot he's used to playing unlike last time when randy starks was there. Is it the most important change/difference in the world? More than likely not. But it is fairly significant.

lol i have hit the jackpot. everybody went crazy. i love it. cant wait for sunday.

for the fiftieth time i did not put fergy and ngata up there together for strict comparison. i only put it up there to try and determine why u guys are so stout on one dude. sure IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE but my point is not the stats so to speak but also the fact that we have faced these kinda nt and lb combo's before. thats why im asking what the big deal is.

ur not gonna stop the run. all year we have been consistently able to run. check the stats with the exception of the horror film known as our game against indy.

im not trying to stir up complete anger or make fun. i understand the presence of a "legit" nt but this will not be the first nt we run on.

I'm not questioning what you know about the game. I'm sure when it comes to your own team and defensive style you know a hell of a lot.

It's just that we also feel like we know about our guys, their strengths and weakness, stuff like that.

true we've been without our starting nt for pretty much the whole year kelly gregg who is the definition of someone who takes up two blockers but while we are there lets check his stats since he in definition is the same as fergy.

for the last five years gregg has had at least 60 tackles when his main responsibility has been to open holes for ray lewis terrel suggs peter boulware adualius thomas and many more. if the nt is really getting pressure up the middle then he will get tackles.

We're not going to stop the run. How do you know this? I'm not saying we will or we won't but apparently you are. What makes you so confident in your answer?

Can't speak for anyone else but I didn't go crazy. I rather laughed at your signature because I know that deflections, interceptions and tackles are the not most important thing with nose tackles.

If you didn't put them up for comparison then why did you put Ngata up there? If your looking to talk about a nose tackle then why place him aside a 34 defensive end? Moreover, why post statistics?

The reason I'm "stout" on Jason Ferguson is because he's done a good job of occupying blockers to free up our linebackers.

Again what makes you so confident? Do you know something that others don't? Furthermore, if you understand the presence of a "legit" nose tackle then why are you posting statistics of interceptions?

    15. Discarded by the Jets, Chad Pennington leads Dolphins to AFC East title.

    2. Miami Dolphins go from 1-15 to 11-5 and AFC East champs.

Should have been one thing. I understand 100 different headlines is a lot, but it's extremely poorly written.
