The process began two days after Christmas 2007. A cataclysmic event took place at the Miami Dolphins facility. An observer arrived. He might as well have worn a black cloak and had a sickle in his grip. He stood there, arms folded mostly, and watched from the sideline, taking mental notes that would decide the fate of dozens and alter the course of a franchise hurtling into NFL oblivion. "I think the air in the practice field got a little thin," defensive end Vonnie Holliday said. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nflnatio...scenes--Parcells-pulls-Dolphins--strings.html
He'll walk. Why wouldn't he? He still gets paid and he can go get another contract somewhere else and do it again. I hope he stays but I wouldn't bet on it. I don't know if he's worked closely enough with other assistants to get another team turned around like he did us. But we do know one thing is that he has a eye for talent, whether it's on the field or in the office. If he does leave I hope he goes somewhere in the NFC, that way we don't have to worry about him in the playoffs down the road.
Lions are in the NFC and if you want to talk about a team that needs a turn around that's got to look like fort knox to parcells right about now.
If Parcells walks then he is a PRIME #1 CHUMP! That would be rediculous to leave already... Or maybe we're all wrong and he hasn't done a thing since hiring Ireland and Sparano? IF that were the case then Dosvadania... It would be worth the 12M.
I personally think everything Parcells has done for our franchise already is worth every single penny of his complete contract.
We need Parcells another year. At least one more year I think. Other wise, I have a feeling we start losing coaches....
I've alreayd said it. I don't want him to walk, but if he left us and went to the Lions, I wouldn't despise him. Detroit, the city itself, notwithstanding the fans, need a boost. I'm cool with that. We're in the playoffs. 11-5. 11 and freaking 5. If we sit here and cry if Parcells leaves, that's a vote of No-Confidence in Sparano and Ireland. I would love for Parcells to stay, but if not, god speed. But then again, I'm not mad at Saban, or JT, or anyone. To me, to complain about that, is to be the bitter ex girlfriend. Now which one of you are bitter ex-gf's, Hmmmmmmm?
