way to go chad!! well deserved! I guess this is the nfl's way of giving him a consolation prize for not even being considered for league MVP
Sweet. He deserves some kind of award for his performance and contributions this year. Glad to see he is getting recognition.
Good for Penny. I am officially the President of the Extend Chad Pennington's Contract Club. Who's with me?
"Consolation prize" or not, I'll take anything we can get this year as far as recognition... we've gone without (albeit understandably so) for a number of years. Baby steps, folks... baby steps
I dunno. I just made it up. Put it in your sig. You can be the secretary or treasurer. Heck, you can be co-president with me. Your only duties are to advocate the extension of his contract on this here boards. Even though we can only have one starting QB, no Henne bashing allowed. We just advocate Penny.
Way to go Chad and representing East Tennessee to beat that. May see if I can meet the guy when he comes back to Knoxville to do his yearly football camp.
Okay. Why don't you start the club and make up a cool sig and then you can be the President and I'll be the founder. All further communication regarding this matter should be done via PM, no not to clutter this very important thread honoring the great Chad Pennington.
Yea but Jpey Porter leads the league in sacks and we are suck a great story and he has helped us out so much I dont see how he could nto win it. He also has the coolest celabration churning and the my favorite him waving for them to come close to him and him kicking us grass and throwing them away. I do ot when I play football.
Finally Chad gets some national recognition for what he has done this year. He will not receive all he is due (MVP, PROBOWL) but at least he has something. On the other hand, I bet Chad cares more about the teams goals and accomplishments then recieving any individual award.
Congratulations Penny! no he doesn't. Ware does. http://www.nfl.com/stats/player Sacks is on the right hand side second box down.
Absolutely well deserved award! Congrats Chad and thanks to the New York Jets for such a wonderful gift!
IMO, our whole team should get the best "Turn around team ever" award. These guys have done what the so-called experts say is impossible. We deserve ALL we can get for this season. I'm so proud of them, I can't contain myself.
1. Marino (best of all time) 2. Griese (being second to Marino is no insult) 3/4. Woodley/Strock 5. Pennington 6. Fiedler 463. Ray Lucas I wouldn't include guys who once were great, but weren't great by the time they played for Miami, like Earl Morrall, Bernie Kosar, Steve DeBerg, and Daunte Culpepper.
